echo 'This is win. Epic win. I played this map with unending map commands running for 30 or so minutes without even noticing. The only problem I noticed was that the US is at a massive advantage. The engineers weren't very engineery either, they need health dispensers or something. Besides those two things I could barely tell it was BF2. Win.'

This is exactly the kind of gameplay I've been waiting for. The realism in this was, well, awesome. Here's one map that will be staying in my map folder for a long time (until the next release anyway

) Here's a few things i'd like to see in the next version though:
-thinner crosshairs for sniper. The sniper zoom was really cool , butit was kind of hard to place headshots when you couldn't see the head
-more units for each side
-fixed bugs such as the floating weapons and such
other than that, this was a lot of fun to play, and i can't wait for the next/final release.

Review:
-Weapon models are perfect!
-The sounds are awesome
-You gotta Love the Auto to Semi-Automatic modes. ( I like Semi-Auto better )
Somethings that bugged me:
-Lines on scope to large, might wanna make it thinner
-The icons are weird, ones in place and one is floating ( Might wanna ask FragMe about that )
Just a question, will there be a first person?
Everything is amazing Taivyx, can't wait to see more! Oh, and are you planning a custom map? I could make a farm for you or something

I began making a city, until I can convert some other models for another map. I would definitly add a first person (its your map though) and vary grenades so that there are smoke grenades and stuff, but that's just me. Anyway, its awesome, as always.

No first-person people, sorry, the positioning of the arms in SWBF2 are just way too wacky for me to do first-person using my weapon models without someone saying that it looks funny.
woner11 wrote: and vary grenades so that there are smoke grenades and stuff, but that's just me.
Thing is though, smoke grenades won't work on AI. Maybe I should just make a SP and an MP version of this...... depends on how much time I have
NullCommando wrote:Somethings that bugged me:

Yep I'll definitely fix the lines on the scope since many people don't like it, and I'll continue to work on the icons
NullCommando wrote:Oh, and are you planning a custom map?
Probably, depends on how much time I have in high school.
Silas wrote:-more units for each side
Hm, really? I thought I'd already gone a little overboard, with 40 units at a time (since it's already using Uber Mode)
tsurugi13 wrote:The engineers weren't very engineery either, they need health dispensers or something.
Oh you just wait, I have some very special things planned for those engineers
Actually....
I have some very special things planned for every unit

It thought there were enough units. And with the smoke grenades working on AI, you might be able to make an invisible wall come up temporarily, but I see what you're saying in it's hard to do.

The amount of people is fine, what I meant is more types of units to play as, especially with the Cobalt side. Sorry for the confusion

This is really fun and the weapons look great as well as the sounds for them. There weren't really any bugs apart form the units should be more varied. How about some units having melee as well as grenades. An RPG would be nice if it's possible. Great work

.

Wow! Taivyx, this is awesome! I've been looking forward to this for ages, since I love the idea of it and your models! I was thinking how this sides would be so perfect for my beach map I could die

. I think I'll postpone it until you've released the sides since they look awesome. Great work! BTW, do you have any idea when the sides will be released?

Sides will be released when Terra Strife is done..... however soon that is
Ok, poll will be added shortly on whether I should include an RPG (Rocket-Propelled Grenade).
BUT FIRST, HEAR THIS.
When I say an RPG it will not be a
perfect RPG, no matter how good the model is or how good the gameplay of it is.
Why?
Because when a real RPG is fired, the rocket-propelled grenade shoved into the barrel during reloading is fired out at the enemy.
In terms of putting this into a game, it would mean that part of the model detaches from the main body of the RPG, and becomes the ordnance.
Unfortunately, this is most likely impossible in SWBF2.
So, what this means is that even when you fire the RPG, the rocket-propelled grenade at the end of it will stay in the gun while another one, the real ordnance, zooms out at the enemy.
It's difficult to explain in words, maybe this picture will help a bit

It could look kinda weird, I see what you mean. However, not all RPGs are like that:
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/c ... Weapon.jpg
Some, have the missile chambered inside of them. According to Wikipedia:
While closed, the outer assembly acts as a watertight container for the rocket

Well, that's not an RPG, per se, that's a SMAW, a Rocket Launcher

used by the U.S. Armed Forces, and much too expensive and inaccessible for most terrorist organizations.
The pictured weapon is what most most Taliban, Iraqi, and Al Qaeda insurgents are using, and has been used by many insurgents groups in the past 20 years
Also was what was used to take out the black hawk helicopter in the movie "Black Hawk Down"

Well im ok if the grenade doesnt actually come out. They just need some rockets.

First of all, very nice. Love the models, skins, .odfs, etc.

. Also, did you change the death animation for the shotgun, because that's amazing

. It looks slightly like force push, but... rolling over backwards into the ground. Anyway, awesome work.

It doesn't matter that much to me, one little thing doesn't detract from a mod like this.

I vote go ahead and put 'er in. A missile launcher like the one in the picture above would work just as well in my opinion...or you could just not have the missile come off at all. It doesn't matter really, it'll still be sweet.

Sorry I didn't review earlier, like I said. Looks like everyone has said what I wanted to say. The only things I would suggest would be adding a commander class (like a sergeant) and a Marine with a SAW. Also, the Cobalt side feels a bit...generic (or maybe typical is the word), so I think adding an RPG to Cobalt would "customize" them a bit. Maybe this isn't possible, buit could you rig the AI to take cover/under /lay down suppressing fire like a player might do, or is that just not possible? (I don't know much about modding) Overall great job, especially for a beta 9/10.
