Well, with Rhen Var: Frozen Corridor on the brink of completion, i've made a new post to celebrate the occasion, whether it turns out good or bad. Previous pics and summary below:

Now that i'm getting so close to completion i'll go over some of the story and features.
>Overview:
With the battle at the Ice gate showing little progress, Darth Vader allots a small force of elite storm troopers to flank the well-positioned Rebel forces. Lead by a Storm Nova Commando, one of the highest elites in the Imperial Army, they are sent through a nearby canyon, known only as the Frozen Corridor. Because the Frozen Corridor doesn't appear on any of their maps of Rhen Var, it seems like the perfect route behind enemy lines. As Imperial Forces move through the canyon, a foreboding sense of danger grows greater. A powerful force had passed through here once. Halfway through the canyon they come to a large gate marked with sith insignias. The gates sides and hinges is marred with lightsaber cuts and slashes, and through the gate laid a frozen outpost of archaic origin. However, with little time to examine the ruins, the rebel counter-force attacks, the battle had begun...

>Features
This is a GCW map because i wanted to carve a story out of it(I have plans for a third), and that the CW heroes would have taken too long to configure. The level features the three unique units, the Storm Commando, the Storm Nova Commando(there's a difference), and the Rebel Spec Force. Sadly while this map was going to feature tank battles, it really took away from the main focus of the map, so they were omitted. Because of its sith origins, this map has many sith "ammo" runes as well as secret pools of water which heal on contact. There are also many secret passages, which if discovered, can be used by both sides to gain an advantage. As part of the secret passages, there are many destroyable walls on the level.

Bugs: Only two atm
>1: I have had buildings flash in and out, like disappear out from under you. While i don't have a complete remedy, i can say that turning the shadows down to low or off does fix a lot of the problems.
>2: Bot pathing, of course.

Awesome. Can't wait for this one. The hidden passageways and stuff sounds very promising. Should have a lot of fun looking around for those...

Any idea of a release date? Sounds like it's nearly done. And what of your Naboo: Coastal Battlegrounds map? Any chance of that being released? Because I was really looking forward to that too... the concept sounded really promising, just like with the naval battle idea. I'd love to see a map like that... eh, maybe for BFII?

This map is basically done, besides the mini map(which needs to be fixed). NCB was nearly finished but the amount of unfixable errors made it incredibly frustrating to deal with. I hope to start work on it as soon as i get this one released. Hopefully once i finish my few projects left for BFront1, i'll look into Bfront2. To tell you the truth, this was suppose to be the next map to release, but when NCB made more progress i posted info about it instead.

Just realized that battlefront 2 will be released in 2 days, that means my map won't be worth much if everyone is playing it instead of battlefront 1. Even if i post my map, the best i could probably get debugging it is Nov 1 or 2.

... Decision time, release it ASAP and it be overshadowed by BFront2, or wait a couple weeks and release with still little chance of sucess.

Truely, that sucks.

Astute I myself will not get swbf 2 until christmas if anytime at all. There are a lot of people who won't be getting swbf2 when it comes out either. And anyways swbf2 won't be moddable for at least a little while. This map looks really cool and deserves to be released. If you want a lot of people to see it you should send it to anywhere you can. ex. PCGAMEMODS SWBFFILES LUCASFILES

Yeah i know, i just don't like releasing it so close to SWBF2, just seems like you'd have something more interesting to play. Of course then again i'm not giving the gametoast and SWBFiles community much credit :)

Btw, this map will still be released, i'd be an idiot not to, just wondering if i should see if i could port it to SWBF2 instead.
