Creating/Modifying a game type (Conquest, CTF, etc.)

I'm working on a project with several friends, and one friend asked if we could possibly create a game type of our own. We basically want a new game type, let's say an attacking team who has to destroy a certain target, and the defending team, who must defend the target from being destroyed. It would go along with our characters. I was wondering if this was possible. If not, could I possibly modify a known game type, I.E. Conquest, to match our idea? Thanks for reading!

~Sharky <--Read the rules. Signatures are not allowed here. They eat up extra bandwidth and make it harder for people to learn to mod.

Edit: Err, at least they used to be banned. The newly reposted rules don't have it.... Anyway if you want to have a signature, theres a box for it in your account settings. If signatures get enabled, anything in there will start showing up. If not, then manually typing a signature in your posts will get you a few warnings then banned. Please don't do it.

Luckily for you, that gametype already exists.

I don't have the modtools on this computer, so I can't tell you exactly what its name is. Remember the campaign map where you had to defend the book cases from the Jedi attack? That sounds like what you are trying to do. Check the modtool's assets folder and lookup the lua script for that campaign.

Ah, yes, of course. Thanks a lot! *Off topic* My apologies. I guess that's what I get for not thoroughly reading the rules. It will not happen again.
