Most of the assets in Evolved were public domain, I have no issue if they want to use the same assets to create a similar mod.
That being said, some of the assets were created by either myself or AQT. Those are the assets I care about. Now they can't rip models, no one has been able to do that, but you can rip textures. Like my Aayla Secura texture, which I'd really prefer not be used without permission.
Now, if they directly took my lvls and are just claiming they made it, that's a big problem. I'll download the mod and compare the lvls. If they're not the same, it's not stealing. If they are the same, which I doubt, then I'll raise some hell.

I don't see anything particularly unique in that video.

0:38 and 0:47, my rifle and pistol animations are used, which I have only given to Wulf for use in his mods.

It just looked identical..all the classes are the same, you would think they would change some things right? I think what they did was combined your mod with a few others for map visual changes...then released it. It might be Evolved..it might not, but either way it looks identical, but I guess in the end the actual files are what matter.

It's so hard for me to tell any more. Everyone has their own little "Enhanced" mod that - at least from screenshots and *sometimes* video - is hard to differentiate from the last. (Not trying to offend anyone that's done one of these, by the way).
As a great 'for example' an HD mod from this same YouTube user. I'm not seeing the HD here.

1:57 my unreleased rifle anim which is used by Evolved.
Clearly the same rifle idle animation which I made and have only allowed Wulf to use.

It's a side mod, along with a shader injection mod. The latter might be taken from someone else (there's 2 or 3 out there) or created on his own. The side mod? It's definitely mine.
Every single model, texture, effect, animation, material options and glitches match up with mine. I gave him a HUGE benefit of the doubt, I didn't think he had just literally downloaded my mod and called it his own, but he has.
I'm thinking about what my best course of action should be. I'm conflicted. One part of me says that I should let it go, that it doesn't matter. But then I remember how much work I did, and more importantly, the fact that Kinetos trusted me alone with those animations and now they're going uncredited.
So we'll see. I'll talk to Marth about this as well, see his thoughts on this.

He COULD be just using Evolved sides while showing off his light bloom mod, except his video included fancy new units as part of his mod, while showing animations that couldn't possibly be from any mod other than the 153rd Legion or Evolved, and in fact, are slightly different between the 2 due to differences in how we munged them, and is showing the Evolved variant. So yeah, he's stealing it.

Well on the bright side..many of the commenters thought the mod looked awesome...so you got some new fans WULFMAN!

Third time trying to download his mod, still stopped before it finished. Whatever servers his website is on, they're not very good. This last time however got enough of it downloaded for me to extract the side files.
It's confirmed without a doubt. The side files are identical down to the last byte.
The modified dates are also the same.
Additionally, the 1.3 patch is included with the package. I'm pretty confident that beyond Evolved and the 1.3 patch, the rest is new. It's a pretty extensive shader injection mod, and I've downloaded them all before. It's a new one.
No credits for any assets are provided, that's what bugs me the most. And Ant? I don't have new fans thanks to him, they don't know that Frayed Wires and its associates compiled and created it.

Flag his videos for spam/misleading, if you want them removed. It's not officially Lucasarts, for one, as his latest video claims and two, it's been determined that it's stolen content.

Also, he's deleting comments, so probably not worth it to comment.
Reported.
Scam/Fraud
"Video starts with LucasArts logo, No mod for Star Wars Battlefront is officially LucasArts. The mod showcased by the video uses files from a couple other peoples' mods without credit or change, the video poster deletes comments related to this subject.

I'm most likely going to try and contact him privately either on YouTube or here (where he's posted the mod as well).

I'll do it later today probably.

I found my way here via the recommendation of a comment.
Firstly if I'm using any assets it was unknown to me, I called upon a good friend to create the models and animations for this project & he has never stolen anything before. I stand by him as he has showed me his original works and I watch him create some. He has work under me dozens of times and I've never heard him complain. The only mods I knowingly shipped this with was the 1.3 patch and a map I enjoyed playing.
Yes, I am deleting comments as I made it clear if you wanted to discuss it to message me but instead you spam my video with claims which are unproven. Reading through the thread I see anomalies and I'm handling it on my end. But if you do a crc check on the files in evolved and the ones in our addon they do not match.
For those of you crying "fraud" or "scam" we make no money from this, there are no advertisements on our video, we offer a direct link to the file, we don't ask for any donations. This was simply done because we enjoyed the game.
My process throughout this was to program the visual enhancements injectors, which I did, I tasked others to do the core game content redesign.
If you want to speak to me my site is
http://codeusa.net and my email is
[email protected]
I'd appreciate if you'd stop conspiring.

If you're lead of something, you can't pass the buck by saying "someone else did it and oh I didn't know." If your buddy's bringing in things that are sketchy for your project, then it's a good idea to verify all that stuff. The sides you're using right now appear to be directly copied from another mod. There's nothing illegal about that, but it's a crappy thing to do.
For those of you crying "fraud" or "scam" we make no money from this, there are no advertisements on our video, we offer a direct link to the file, we don't ask for any donations. This was simply done because we enjoyed the game.
Truthfully, you're within your rights to do this. It's dumb, probably morally wrong, and not going to make you any friends, but there aren't rules against it in the greater sense of legality. If you did it here? You'd be banned and have it removed. If you did it at any site devoted to mods? Likely the same thing.
Simply "making money off of" is not the measure by which fraudulence is determined. Not attributing someone else's work is enough to make you a fraud, in the strictest sense of the word. If someone else made something that you're using "because you enjoy the game," then you guys are on the same team - you should credit them for their hard work (because, guess what, they did it for the same reason you did).
Put yourself in someone else's shoes when you do something like this. How would you feel if someone else put up your work with their own, tacitly saying "hey, I did all this work, and you know I did all of this, because I didn't credit anyone else for having done anything." You'd feel pretty bad.
You can sort this out in e-mail and other communications with the authors, but just know that, as far as modding communities go, this type of behavior is wrong.
Edit: It's worth mentioning that this mod uses these mods without credits/permission (verified):
-Battlefront Evolved 1.0
-Battle over Coruscant (Penguin's, I believe)
-1.3 patch
