could not open mission lvl? trying to make a map

every time I munge a map and going to run BF2, I find my map but with a gibberish name- I try to play it and it says "FATAL, could not load mission.lvl"
this happens to EVERY F*CKIN MAP I TRY TO MAKE!
I am an up n coming modder with some great ideas, I just cannot get past this hiccup.. I may have only the Beta of Battlefront Modtools or something like that, it says so in the README document..
I'm also wondering, what do I need to do to make a map compatible with BFX? I hate the stock sides..
besides, my stock sides are a lil messed up since I tried changing the stock all.lvl & imp.lvl for a cool custom map's sides..
a thousand thanks to everyone who helps me on my feet here, I need to get to modding.. my creativity juices are flowing with so much PSI that it would blow the ears off a gundark!

Question #3 describes an issue where the map name shows up as something like %ABC%. If this is the case with your map, make sure you have both the v1.1 patch and the v1.3 patch installed.

As for the FATAL error, the usual cause is described in Question #7. If you fire up VisualMunge and run it, and it only takes a couple of seconds to "finish", you will need the fixed munge files: http://www.mediafire.com/download/7gims ... ge_fix.zip

many thanks.. annnnd making maps compatible with BFX? anyone? anyone? Bueller?

trying to send my data_SLL folder to a patron in my project here and I cannot seem to find how you attatch files..
