I replaced the lightsaber sprint animation with the pistol sprint animation. Now when my unit sprints, the the unit moves from behind where he actually is to in front of where he actually is. It is like he is double running. It is hard to describe.
His sprint animation is just a loop of him running from behind the actual unit position to in front of him, all while the "position" moves normally.
Is there any way to fix this while still using the pistol sprint animation? thanks.

Re: Weird sprint animation bug
I'm assuming you're using human_pistol_sprint? Use either human_pistol_stand_runforward or human_pistol_standalert_runforward_full instead.

Re: Weird sprint animation bug
Those work, but they are just normal running sped up, they don't look as good as the normal pistol sprint animation. Why is this bug specific to that .msh?

Re: Weird sprint animation bug
You're absolutely certain 100% that human_pistol_sprint is indeed the stock pistol sprint animation?

Re: Weird sprint animation bug
yes, I tried both of what you suggested, they looked different compared to stock sprinting with a pistol.

Re: Weird sprint animation bug
Is it different because of the way the unit holds its weapon, or is it something else? I think that because there are walkforward and runforward animations, sprint is actually unused (and buggy for some reason), although I am not quite certain.

Re: Weird sprint animation bug
They are different, I just tested them both and compared them to sprinting with a stock trooper.
human_pistol_stand_runforward is just the normal moving foreward animation, with the gun held at belly height. the lower half is unanimated (needs _upper). Can't use.
human_pistol_standalert_runforward_full is just the normal moving foreward animation, with the gun up in the alert position. looks goofy as a sprint anim.
human_pistol_sprint has the unit move both arms moving up and down in like a normal person would sprint. But for some reason it has the bug described above.
EDIT: and also I used human_tool_sprint and it has the same thing.
EDIT: also tried rifle sprint, it works fine, but it's not what i need.
LAST EDIT: I fixed the pistol sprint animation in xsi, i just flattened out the posx part of the bone_root in the animation editor. if anyone wants it pm me.
