Re: Glamour Skins (Part II)
Does anyone have anything to say other than 'z0mg11!!! c00l skin!!1111!!1!1!
If you like it, at least try telling him why you like it.
Even better, tell him you don't like it, and then tell him why. That way, he gets better. (and would people please stop quoting the pictures, one copy is enough...)
Thunder: The 'buffed' skins... I don't really see what's different about them... The stripe colors look a bit stronger, but really it doesn't seem like much was done... Care to explain?
Crazy_Killa: Nice work, the At-At pilot reskin looks pretty nice. Clean and good. Out of curiosity, how did you color it black? To add to our discussion on recoloring earlier.
As for the other skin, well I don't care for that one as much. The 'gas-mask' really looks to light colored, and not well defined at all, and his clothing seems to be a solid color.

Alas, my skins have been ignored
. Thunder, it looks like you aren't heeding our suggestions-the paint bucket tool ruins skins. (Try what Bac-Talan said)

Since my skins got no attention before, here is the final version of my 7th Sky Corps Trooper (actually I just wanted it to look cooler, lol):

Re: Glamour Skins (Part II)
Eh. I can tell from here that you used the burn tool directly on the skin with the 'galaxy small' brush. Right?
I don't get what everyone's obsession with burn marks is, other than that their easy to make. If you're going to add combat damage, try other methods of scratches (there's a bunch of good ways, on a dark background, try a layer set to soft light w/ 1 pix white scratch marks, duplicated and moved copy just slightly + inverted.)
If you want mud and dirt, make mud and dirt. If you really want a burn mark, then take the effort to make it good, and make one or two good sized ones. Only problem there is that the whole class has the same battle damage. Really, that's the problem with the whole battle-damage thing.
ADDITION (EDITED IN):
Doesn't really matter if it's a pattern or not. If it doesn't show up, it's just as bad as a solid black, neh?

Then that's too dark isn't it?Crazy_killa wrote:btw my han skins clothes arent a solid color it is a very dark camo but it doesnt show up

Re: Glamour Skins (Part II)
He didn't mean "burn tool," he meant paint tool, which is the one with the galaxy-small brush.
I think it looks fine, even if it is just the default brush. Things like that get lost in anything except for glamour shots anyway.

since i really like your skin a lot i have put it ingame...
to be honest i think this is a skin worthy of being in "glamour skins". no offence to you other guys but using c-26's skins for example, change their colors and then calling that "my skin"... come on.
and putting dots on an existing skin isn´t "glamour", too.
that broomfighter skin is just nice and i think it is (one of) the best rebel soldier skin(s) out there!

Are you referring to my skin when you mention the skins that aren't skins? Also thanks Maveritchell

nope.
i meant skins some pages before and the glamour skins section developement in general. but hey... nevermind. maybe it´s only my personal interpretation of the word "glamour skins". i associate really special skins and not every skin i made skin. that´s what the release section is about. just my personal association. like i said no offence.

Re: Glamour Skins (Part II)
No, that skin was a request for Trainmaster. He took the pic, and I asked for a copy.
