I saw modders were able to get versus up and running. Good to hear it's fun. Upgrades? Hmmm...I should know about them, but yet I don't. Please continue with more details about them Guru.

l4d2 demo hack play as versus infected etc..

http://www.l4dmods.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=4118\

L4d survivor uprades , laser sights, gives random buffs to each player depending on how well/ok you play, kill count etc.. like knifes, flame bullets, hollow tip etc.. (once you play this way , the vanilla install tastes not as sweet)

http://www.l4dmods.com/index.php?option ... kageId=357

Im not much help on the install of this as I mashed files all over 4 hardrives to get the above to work requiring sourcemod and other plugins.

Long time, no see all you peoples.

I actually wasn't going to pre-order this until I saw the intro trailer. Then I simply couldn't resist. From what I've played so far, L4D2 has definitely exceeded my expectations. Can't wait. Only 20 hours left.

I have to say, I'm loving the new assault rifles. The SCAR is probably my favorite new weapon. Of course we still haven't been able to play with the grenade launcher and whatever other weapons are left, so that could definitely change. I also love the way the pipebombs new explosion effects the zombies around it.

Ugh, I wish I didn't have Exams to study for. Then I could play L4D2 all day! Oh well, I'm done with exams tomorrow afternoon, so after that I'll be all set :P

Edit: Ugh, Steam was "searching for games updates" for like an hour...I think their servers are a little busy right now. Maybe I'll try later.

Edit II: Ah, I'm now decrypting my Pre-load. Finally!

Haha - yeah, when it was decrypting last night, I found myself wishing I had a Raid 0 setup with 7,200rpm drives as opposed to my 5,400rpm laptop drive...

Minor spoiler (beginning of the first level).
Hidden/Spoiler:
I haven't played much of it yet, but as for the first level, must say it's a cool concept that you only start with pistols or melee weapons (no machine guns or shotguns at the start).

As I did with Modern Warfare 2, I'm uploading videos of this game to youtube.

Starting here, I'll try to have all the way up to the end of the second campaign tonight. (Dark Carnival :D)

Swamp Fever Spoilers
Hidden/Spoiler:
I was so scared when the second second tank showed up on the Finale. I was then even more scared when a charger threw me right to the boat path.
This game is so haaaaarrrrd.

Man, yeah it's tough. My two friends and I normal do advanced in L4D and blow through til the finale, but here advance is tough for us. The new infected totally mess with our strategies, which is a good thing.

I've only played Dark Carnival, Parish, and Dead Center. And only beat Dead Center. Ha. DC is pretty cool. I like the ending the most. Dark Carnival is my favorite so far. The clowns are scary, but I know the mudmen will be even scarier.

Now if I didn't have a bio test to study for I'd be playing more. I'm very happy with L4D2.

Yeah, this game is so much harder than L4D1. It's crazy!

And unfortunately. With the difficulty of the game increasing, the friendly AI seems to have gotten stupider...a lot stupider.
Hidden/Spoiler:
And yeah, two tanks at the end of Swamp Fever scared the crap out of me. The tactical shotgun is still the best weapon to deal with tanks by far. (first time I tried it was with the M-16, and I got owned. Second time I used the Tactical Shotgun, and those tanks hardly touched me!)

On both the Dark Carnival and Swamp Fever Campaigns Only I and one AI character survived. the other two were left behind.
Maybe I should stop playing single player? I've gotten screwed over by the AI so many times....

Any time you want to play, let me know. I'm usually game and have free time. Especially after 7, maybe 9 for sure.

Yes the ally AI is dumber than a bag of rocks. It's sad. Kind of forces you to play with friends.

Man I'm excited to play the other campaigns.

Yeah, sometimes they can't even get into the safe room door. It's ridiculous.

I noticed that. In the first the AI like instantly got in, sometimes even before you. Now you have to wait like 2 mins before they all get in.
Hidden/Spoiler:
Ex. I was playing the swamp campaign and we just fought off the horde for the platoon. Ellis and Coach and I were on the boat. Rochelle is on land like 20ft away and she says, "everyone get on the boat!" OH MY GOD. The AI should be fixed. No, need to be.

LOL, yeah, definitely.

I just finished all of the campaigns:
Hidden/Spoiler:
The end of The Parish campaign was crazy! That bridge is so long! And then the helicopter is like 1000 ft away from the bridge!! It's insanely hard!

I did like the Hard Rain Campaign a lot though. It was interesting how you had to go out, then backtrack. And the atmosphere of the rainstorm was extremely well done.

I just got my Tank Burger achievement (kill a Tank with a melee weapon) by running up behind it after it had knocked down Thire and his friend, on stage, and SMASHING ITS BRAIN OUT WITH A GUITAR.

I love this game. :P
Hidden/Spoiler:
I also managed to get the Sob Story achievement (don't kill any witches on the Sugar Mill) in Realism Mode by leading the AI and Idle Thire around them very carefully. It's really hard to see your teammates in the downpour there, but all of us made it off the island alive.

Are you the only one who gets tank burger or does the team?

Also, that's crazy.

Everyone in the game got it during the credits sequence (it was the second tank of the finale).

Gotta break my 1337 post count. Oh well.

I really like the game. It's totally different than L4D1, and a lot harder. I've tried some Scavenge, which was better than I expected, but I was playing with, "OMG L33T" people. :(

I did post a group announcement about a match sometime this weekend. Is anyone else game? I really want to play with you guys because I probably won't have a reason to ragequit. :P

Epic facepalm. Waste of money, time, and a game. Just add it on.

Valve has failed me.
It's funny how your opinion has changed, haha.

Anyone else getting random crashes? My game is doing that and it's getting annoying especially since a few friends and I beat Dead Center on Expert. I crashed 3 times, so I don't think I got a tally for beat all 5 on expert.
