Getting our mods to a larger audience: Consoles?

Many a newbie has asked how to get mods onto say, an xbox.

I say its about time we found out!*
What would it take, I don't have an xbox exactly, but maybe somone does.
Can you transfer windows folders from a cd to xbox? If not, a physical transplant of the gard drive to and from a local pc may have to do. . .

After that, the game may have to be hackyishly-patched to play mod maps. .

Perhaps someone who is an expert in what the difference is with console file formats and who is familiar with the SWBF code could help. (Yeah, ok, Psych0fred is the only one who has the remote possibility of saying something knowledgeable in response to this)

*If it's not too time consuming

modding cosoles is not the way to go, modding on cosoles is primitive much like hex editing and is even more difficult the it. Also for the mods to work you will need a modded xbox which besides being illegal will get you xbox live account baned if they catch you. It would be possible to soft mod the xbox but then it would be unlikely that you could create mods for Bf. Consoles in all their glory just turn out to bad when it comes to modding.

Me and a friend tried this once. We put Rends Abridon City onto the Xbox's HD in the Battlefront folder...

The hard drive never lived again.
