Hello there,

I bought a new PC (Vista ) after I tried to play BF on a other Vista PC successfully, so I don't expected any problems, but now the game crashes after I click on any map in instant action right before it begins to load the map.

Is this happend before or did I something wrong?

EDIT: SW: Empire at war works, but Forces of Corruption and RC don't.

Is the new computer a newer version of vista?

I don't know exactly, it's home professional.

Where could I check the Version?

I don't know about your RC problem, but these fixes worked for me.

I had exactly the same problem. It is a sound problem.
You must go into the control panel and change some stuff, I don't remeber exactly what.
But if you go to LucasArts.com you will see alot of people had this problem and found the solution, so just look around in their forums.

JUHU, it works now, I disabled the mixer configs ingame and now it works perfectly (only without sound )

Okay, but if you want sound, here is how I fixed it(I'm not sure if this will work for you):
Go to the Control Panel, click on hadware and sound.
Scroll down to "Sound" and click manage audio devices, click on Recording up at the top.
Right click and click show disabled devices. I think something called "Stereo Mix" should come up.
Make it the default and turn mixer configs back on.

I think this is how I did it, but I am not 100% sure.
