WIP Hoth: Escape

This is a fairly big sized map, set on the planet of Hoth. It includes both CW and GCW eras: CW will have the CIS attacking, the GCW will have the Empire attacking.

CIS has the following vehicles on start:
- MTT
- STAP

But the following vehicles can be unlocked when captured CP's:
- Droid Starfighter (capture the Jedi Starfighter hangar)
- Bomber (Capture the ARC-170 Hangar)
- AAT (Capture the Eastern Outpost)
- 4rd MTT (Capture the Western Outpost)

Republic has the following vehicles at it's disposal:
- Saber-class Fightertank
- Delta-7 class Jedi Starfighter
- ARC-170 Starfighter
- BARC Speederbikes

Empire at start:
- AT-AT
- Speederbikes

Can unlock:
- TIE-Fighter (Snowspeeder hangar)
- TIE-Bomber (X-Wing hangar)
- Imperial Fightertanks (Eastern Outpost)
- 4rd AT-AT (Western Outpost)

Rebels have:
- Snowspeeders
- SWBF1 Combatspeeders
- Speederbikes
- Tauntauns

CW mode looks totally different from the GCW mode: the turrets are totally different (more primitive) and some other minor changes. GCW mode looks alot more wartorn, more advanced turrets (like in ESB) and several other minor changes. Underground there's also a huge tunnel system, which connects all the CP's (except the Imperial spawn) together. No AI can spawn here (due to balancing issues)

This looks very nice! I especially like how you have the imperial stardestroyer domes in the sky, It makes it look pretty authentic. :thumbs:

Look nice but, I would vary the terrain and it's textures.. All flat terrain is kinda boring.

no offense for you "campaigners" out there, but id rather there not be a campaign. i like maps best where its just free-for-all where you can recreate a battle or totally mess them up :P i dunno, just me. it rather there not be a campaign.

I'm letting you guys choose. Also, I am opting for having BOTH Conquest and Campaign modes :P

That's just the MTT that came with the SWBF1 assets, converted it.

okay then in that case i dont really mind it. its just when a custom map has a campaign, i generally play it once, and never touch it again. lol.

Looks good indeed.. Good to have the Delta Interceptor in once! ;)

Possible suggestion of me is.. Add some special units, and LOADS of transport. Not tanks, but speeders etc. These special units are like walking player models, or an advanced droid.. Or a semi-hero.. This would mean your opponent has one as well. When i make a map, i always add one.. It makes me exited.. What if i get suddenly get slashed in the back by a Dark Acolyte? :P Droids are mechanical sausages.. But that is different toast!.. Right, yeah, I'm hungry indeed..

are you going to make custom sides, if yes you could add all dark trooper phases (just yesterday finished the 5th mission of the dark forces mod for ja and there was a phaseI dt at the end, now i wish to see them in swbf2)

Sweet. Could you please try and make the GCW very realistic. I am very fond of mods made to be like the real thing. Also can you put some more screenies of the GCW up please. CW looks great though. Keep it up. :bowdown:

Very nice! To get the snow out of the tunnels, make rainshadow regions.

Also, very nice! Looks great. What turret are you using for cw?

okay so it seems the general public like campaign and id like to help. a note, in the battle of hoth, there were 5 AT-ATs :atatpilot:

That was a glitch: certain Rainshadows didn't line up too well :P

Anyway, thanks everyone for the support! Gonna get some extra GCW pics up soon :)

@obiboba3po: Sure, I added you to Xfire. We can discuss the campaign over there? :P
