ok so i followed busterkinkade guide for skinning and then did what E1025 said worked but when i ran my map i got a white model of a heavy trooper please help

What skinning program did you use? If the GIMP, click "save as" and then in the window click save, then another window should pop up and un - check RLE Compression. Yep, it's that simple.
