Aye, there have! I changed the energy pillars a little so that they look more movie-like. What do you folks think about 'em?

Mhh, difficult to see in a static picture, but from what I can tell that's very good work. I just think you could slightly expand the "shimmering" area around the pillar itself, while scaling down the actual pillar a bit.

Yeah, I agree...but the pillars do look awesome (but weren't they more..purple in the movie?)

In other news, moddeling for the genroom is FINALLY done. Onwards, to the Hangar!

Update! The Hangar is making rapid progress, and is now nearly 75% done. With luck, it should be 100% by the end of next week!

Awesome that picture looks cool and I think if you men the black thing on the wall I think they are used to hold the N1 fighters.

No the N1s aren't flyable. Why does the ground look so funny? I thought you had that super cool see-through-glossy texture like they have in the GCW hangars

What did you do about the generators intefering with the lightsaber things? I'm hoping you didn't delete them

@ yankee: The black things on the sides of the pillars are uded to support the N1's engines. The black things on the wall are where the N1's tails plug into for recharging.
@ train: the ground looks funny because its made of marble. Although it probably isn't the final texture I'll use, it's pretty close to the movie. As for gloss, the only main place where it's reflective is in the revolving laser door area and pitroom. I was able to get around the lightsaber problem, but had to scrap the effects for the lasers. The lasers I have now are much more movie-accurate, in my opinion. Plus I think they look cooler anyhow. I got a screenie a page or two back if you wanna check.
@ authraw: I didn't want to have flyable ships as that would mean much extra modeling on my part as well as splitting the battle into 2 fronts. You wouldn't be able to leave through the front entrance anyway as the hangar overlooks a cliff.
