Command Posts

Post by carfanaticphil »

I've been reading about mapping, and I'm doing well, 'cept I don't get how to delete cp's. I have just munged my map, with the 4 default cps and i want to delete some. It says "select the cp you want to delete and press delete" but when i go into objects and press "select object", i move my mouse to the cp but it is unselectable. why is this, and what can i do to solve this?
thanks in advance :D

Those CPs are in the base layer, if I remember correctly. So, go to that layer, and the objects should become selectable.

when i go into that base layer, then click on the objects tab, there is the box with the list of objects, like "keep" and "crystal_green", but no cps :(

I was under the impression this was new map, so, yeah, disregard my post. Always go to the layer you know the object is in. For shipped maps, the CP type may vary from mode to mode, so they will be in the mode's layer that's utilizing them, typically.

You probably know this already, but it's related to the topic and if you don't, it will forestall a few questions. In fact, this is probably unneccessary, but you mightwant to delete the cp's spawn path and capture/control regions as well.

Also, this part is neccessary:
You have to edit your LUA correctly.
