Join the GT crew and become a front page news poster, have inside game information? See a topic on the site you feel others should not miss? Upcoming game details? A mod you found that is amazing! This is the position for you! There is no pay but you will be famous amongst your peers! Persons interested should play games, know how this site runs and perferably have been on the site for a long while (although less time with energy for the position will be considered).

You can post a story every month or every day its up to you. You will be given access to our news posting area and must know how to "type without using mostly haxxor language" and be able to put links into your work. basically if you can type a little bit of html and speak english , this is right up your alley. In the event no suitable news poster is found we will place a news submit script on the main page where everyone can submit news and I will just add them on a one by one basis. We feel this is a needed position so the main page will have more active news then when i can get on here and upload it. thanks and those interested just pm me. Happy day.

I'm up for posting news. I didn't know it was possible (thought you had a static template). Are you using some sort of CMS?

I'ld love to be able to have a little trailer pic of Battlefront Zero up now and then for the main page.. But BF2 is like the only game i play, so more news won't be in it for me

How about having two or three people with this position? That way there's a smaller chance of running out of inspiration, more updates, a broader range of topics etc.. One of em posting every monday, the other every thursday for example.
If that's possible, I'd like to apply. If not, I'd... not like to apply I guess .

I got an idea. How about if GT members type out detailed news items about their mods or about other games and than PM them to an Admin to approve/look over and than if its good enough to post than an Admin can post it. Anyway, I would love to help out in any way just let me know.

I'd love to do this. I know some simple html (working on my new site: www.clanemp.tk) and I hope I speak English well enough.
I also consider myself knowledgeable of video game news etc.

I'd like to help, and I do know a little HTML, and what I don't know I could probably look up.

Edit: I like the idea of multiple people being responsible for news. I think it would also be interesting if each person got a different section of the forums to write news about.

I'd kind of be interested in posting news. I could always post up news for Steam games and mods. Hehe...

im adding a new script to the site today , this def. needs to happen I think it would help the site alot and I would like to see other peopls news not just mine. Ill post in here once the app is up we can do logins and what not.Glad people are interested.

Right now a testing page is up its very simple but allows a title to be added, and dates the item and allows for 5000 words of text per story. tonight Ill add login access to secure it and make it live. feel free to check it out. in the end result about 3-6 people will have access to posting main page stories any anyone else who wants to post articles can simply pm a newsposter or post inthe forums that they want to promote a story.

Interesting. I still think that news privileges should be limited to staff and selected other members. (just to cut down on spam and self-promotion)

@ Guru -- allow for more than just basic HTML. I'd like to be able to use <embed> so we can post trailers from other sites for games, plus YouTube vids. That's what we do over at MarvelMods. --> http://marvelmods.com/

Sorry about that Yodakid. A few posts got dropped in the server move, so if you posted about 15-20 minutes before the move posts didn't get moved over.

yea at some point the site cuts of data save while in transfer to new server. Normally people shut off a forum during but i figure no real downtime is better then blank pages. looks like i lost my avatar in the mixup. If you gusy spot anything else missing attachments and avatars are all that ive heard are lsot/missing/gone from 5 moves in 2 days.
