Sudden Lag [Solved]

Ok, I have no clue what happened, but now my computer lags when I play BFII. Before this happened, I could play the game on max settings, but now all of a sudden, it lags on the higher settings. What going on?
edit:
uhh... Mass Effect 2 is also lagging... just like BF2, I could play on max settings before, but now it's lagging. I'm no computer expert, but I'm pretty sure that's not a good sign...

What applications are you running in the background? Do you have Fraps running while you are playing games? If so, are you sure you aren't accidentally recording stuff and not knowing it?

No, there are no external programs running like that.

When did this start? Are you using a laptop? Did you check your computer for viruses?

Two days ago I believe. I've been running virus checks a lot the past few days. Generally, I virus check every Friday.

Don't ever try to play games while running virus scans. What are your computer's specs?

Ugh... its the computer screen that's acting up on me. The cord extension must have gotten damaged. I'll have to get new one. I guess this means this topic can be closed.
I'll post the Computer Specs any way I suppose:
