If I were making a capital ship, would it be better for me to start big, or build small models and find a way of inflating them?

I can advise you start with a small model and then take you to the necessary scale. not that I mean to be tiny, however you can make a midsize model, if you use XSI for it, try to do no more than the grid size d ela simulating the plane z. is my advice for you.

I was thinking that would be better. Thanks for the advice.

You welcome friend! and other advice:

You can use an .obj converter to get an trooper or vehicle model only for scale purposes in xsi or other modeling program. After you get it, scale the ship to the wanted.
