does anyone play Battlefield 2??

if so, what is your profile name and fav. map???

I play BF2, not online tho because i have some problems (I can't create my account) but my favorite map is Strike at Karkand

I love bf2 , the new patch lets meplay with coop 48 bots, fav map is the contruction site! forget name

I played it on the PS2 and it seemed soley mission-based; is it the same with the PC or is it like BF 1942, instant action any time.

The console version of BF2:MC is very different from the (i think) better PC version. It's like BF 1942 but with way better graphics, engine, and gameplay. Also it's based in the not so far future. The maps are either Desert(MEC) , wetlands (China), and with Armor Fury booster pack now the US. Alaska, a highway in New Jersey, and Pennslyvnia. (misspelled i know). Overall teh PC BAttlefield 2 is an awsome game and i await BAttlefield 2142.

Guru the map you're thinking of is Shaqar Penisula. (misspelled i know) That is a fun one. I love Gulf of Omen, Shaqar Penisula, Wake Island 2007, and a few others.

I currently dont own an booster pack or the expansion, because im waiting for Battlefield 2142.

Woot, been playing it since like a little after it came out. I have 2 accouts, both with a little over 12,000. ( you dont realize that you pick all the bad unlocks untill you use them for ahwhile, hence, the 2 accounts.)

Favorite maps are Sharqi Peninsula 64 players, Kubra Dam 64, Wake Island, and Strike at Karkand 32 or 64. I know that is a lot of favorite maps, but the majority of maps in Battlefield 2 rock.

I like most of the others tho' .

I recomend ,any1 who has bf2 , to get the Special Forces booster pack . Its a bit more infantry based . Its awesome.

I love this game. If you get this game, get special forces as well. It adds a lot more gameplay.

I used to play Battlefield 2. Until I bought a new video card that made the screen black
I still remember those fun times on the Battlefield..

I dunno, Wake Island rocks if the USMC actually get a foothold. If they dont take a base in like the first 5 minutes then they are going to get raped on the carrier for the rest of the match.

However, if they do get a base, then they have a chance to take some more bases.

I remember having the US F-35 jet, and hovering next to the PLA's last base, and just capping it with bullets.. Can you imgagine just defending your last base with like 15 others, and then a hovering jet slowly comes from the side and starts unloading.... Then I got hit by an ernx LOL

Ah, I found ya. You meant BANDU in all caps. Btw way guys, any tips on flying choppers? I can just never seem to fly and aim at something at the same time.

yea same here chopper and jet are so cool seeming but i die in like 5 seconds after takeoff. vietnam was much easier to "jump in and learn"

Well... If you wanna learn to fly I recommend you play some SP matches, so you don't got good people shooting at you all the time. THen just practic and practice and practice.

Fly low. Flying low makes it harder for the enemy to lock on to you, and nearly impossible for jets to take you out.

Repair often. Even when I still have 3/4 of my health left, i got back to a helipad and get repairs.

Use Ts or voip. It is essential to talk to your copilot. A gunner can spot enemies for you, and you can tell him when he is lined up to take the whatever out with a TV missile. If you havent gunned a lot, then you might not know, but the TV missiles are the most important weapon on the chopper. They can kill anything with a direct hit, and with a good gunner and a decent pilot, you can kill anything and be nearly invincible.

Lastly I have to agree with Jabba... Practice. People will get pissed in servers if you fly and then crash you and them into the ground.




Talk to me sometime and ill gun or fly for you... Might be good because I need to touch up on my TV missile skills.
