Off-topic : What if you looked at
this local thread,

^And if you didn't... well basically porting the maps is possible, but other than that (like player models, gamemodes, and space fighters) it's not possible. The BFII code is just too different from the original

Off-topic : I'm feeling really sorry to contradict you, RDST, but importing "Player Models" or even "Space Fighters" coming from Star Wars Battlefront II toward Star Wars Battlefront is possible, as long as the ported stuffs do not own a specific "skeletal" Structure, associated to Memory-requiring Animations, like those used by Force-wielding Heroes...

Yeah, you can convert models and troopers no problem. Here's essentially what can't be done in BF2.
-Cloth of any kind
-Multiple gametypes
-Boost/Dash
-Vehicle tricks
-Campaign-style scripts (we could, but we're unsure what amount of code could port to BF1)

Karnage and others seem to be doing work in converting maps for SWBF1:
http://www.gametoast.com/index.php?name ... ght=#74957
so you should be able to see what is potentially possible.

Off-topic : Indeed,
CarbineImpulse, and while we are at it, here is a
temporary list of
all threads - Posted on
GameToast Message-Board, of course ! - dealing with Projects based on the porting of contents from
Star Wars Battlefront II to
Star Wars Battlefront :

I should also point out that jedi combos won't work in BF1 either.

contradicting people seems like a full time job

. Good thing your right almost all the time. But yes, your right, up until a little bit ago, I didn't know that models and stuff could be ported. But, Karnage keeps proving me wrong

(glad to see it to).

Off-topic : In fact, I would be almost ready to say that
Star Wars Battlefront owns
much more potential and abilities than
Star Wars Battlefront II - Which may be rather surprising, as it has been released
well before this last
LucasArts Product -, and I think it's a pity that
GameToast members having heard about this aren't numerous...
But thanks to
Karnage work, I guess that such a statement will become erroneous in a
short while...

Sorry for Offtopic: do you remember mod by Lord Bandu (?) with realistic wearons (M16A1). Can you give me a link?

Off-topic : I am feeling sorry, JK', but I've not succeeded in remembering where a thread dealing with such a Star Wars Battlefront I / II Project may have been created, which means you will have to exploit GameToast's "Search" and Private Messaging features in order to get more helpful outcomes...
