{WIP} The Republice Final Defence

This is my first map. The story is the republic has a strong hold on a planet and the CIS has just captured the scouting outpost and is coming toward the strong hold.
The republic starts out with the stronghold and a small defense CP outside of it
The CIS starts out with a small outpost and an even smaller CP outside of the forest
The only way to get in the republic’s base is to destroy the barricades.
[Bugs/problems/things to do]
1. The AI don’t have any pathing or planning and I don’t really know how to do that. I’m still experimenting.
2. I need the odf’s and msh’s for turrents, grass, and trees
3. I’m still trying to find out how to put my skin into the game (and the guides don’t help)
please post comments and advise it will really help

Looks pretty good. I think you should add thick fog. It looks good on forest maps like this.

Looks very cool. A few suggestions though...
1. Add more hills and different ground textures
2. Change the sky
3. If this is a stronghold, make the republic base nearly inpenetrable, but the CIS outnumbers them in soldiers, tanks, and cps by a five to 1 ratio
This looks promising...

ill do that good idea

im still trying to figure out how to do that but i think il findout in time.
and ill make it hilly and have a different texture
(what texture would you prefer?)

I like those turrets. You should make them controllable from inside the Republic base. (Like remote turrets in space maps) You should also add some trenches. (like the ones from Hoth) and possibly tunnels. One more thing, what vehicles are there?

Are you going to be sticking with good ol' 501st troopers, or are you making new units? Since this is a forest map, jungle camo wouldn't be too bad perhaps...

i was thinking about makeing them remote turrents but i dont really know how to do that and also i want to be able to recharge the turrents after they are destoried but they just disapear. and trenches i will be able to add, but they wont fit in and i dont know how to re texture objects.
there are currently no vehicles. im going to add a clone tank and cis tred tanks. if anyone knows any other type of vehicles i should add tell me.
i dont know how to add my skins to my troops. so if i dont find out how ill just stick with the 501's skins

It's nice to see that you've made new skins, but I really prefer jungle camo skins over those.

ive run in to a problem. when i load my map and click on the cis option and click on a soldier to spawn i spawn as the republic. this is a big problem. if anyone knows what is wrong please help
by the way, where do i go to run BF2 log. i think this might help to find the problem.

Do you have Uber mode enabled with more than 300 soldiers at a time for each side?
