Well, there's so much crap (good crap) in this map it's hard to tell if he will ever be done.

xwingguy wrote:I believe that works because you picked up the holocron as infantry. When you pick up a flag as a flyer the behavior changes.
I think that you should make the flag an infantry flag. to make it challenging, you could put it in the reactor core and put the bases in the reactor core, so you would have to go all the way from one reactor core to the other to capture the flag.

Problem is that if the flag carrier dies in space, once another flyer picks it up again, the flag begins to behave like a space flag

Maybe the flag would have to be retreived from a small neutral frigate (with a hanger) located in the center of the map and placed in the CTF layer.
And here's an actual premise for CTF mode: IG-88A (
http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/IG-88 ) has taken total control of the Death Star II's systems, and after evening the odds, has decided to have the Rebels and Imperials play a very amusing game...

^^Of course! Excellent idea! That's straight from Tales of the Bounty Hunters, which is a fine book.

1. I think IG-88A is too cold and too rational to enjoy a bloodbath - a sith or a sadistic Imp would do so, but no droid.
2.If you pick up an infantry flag in the neutral hangar, nobody will be able seen that you have a flag when you're in your starfighter, so it's almost impossible to track down the flag carrier - it results in frustration for the fraction who tries to keep the carrier from scoring

reply to your second point Protector_Pulch, i believe that would sure make people figure out how to master the lock on techniques pretty quick, and make it more fast paced and compeditive...basically so long as somebody sees who takes the flag, u can lock onto em.

maybe you could make it a point where say the imperials have to board the rebel ships to get the flag but when the flag carrier reaches a flyer, it acts like a space flag.Once that happens, the imp only need to make it way to the outside of the bridge...is that possible??

About IG-88A, I see your point, but it may see the game as a way of asserting control over the "inferior biological species". At any rate, it did decide to annoy Palpatine through the rather pointless act of closing and opening doors at will, so it's not above using such methods to make others feel less "in control".
And about flags, they actually do show up when you're in a vehicle (at least in a ground one) A big flag icon appears superimposed over the vehicle - you couldn't miss it.

you could have two sets of capture areas (if possible). one in the capital ships, one in space, so if someone dies carrying the flag in space, you can still capture it!:D

Is there a way to make it so that if you were to pick up the flag, and then die in space, the flag reverts BACK to where it originated from? This would solve alot of the problems right there. It would make for an almost ENDLESS battle, but at least you would solve the problem with the flag not acting properly.

Doesn't the flag automatically reset to its spawn point after being dropped for 15 seconds?

Good thinking! If there's a way, he could set that to happen in .0000001 seconds! Sorry if it sounds sarcastic, I actually mean that!
