PSP games for the PC? Yuck! The PSP has a good engine that makes very good graphics but after seeing GTA: VC Stories for the PSP and coming out for the PS2, I have my doubts. And after looking at the screenshot, I think this isn't worth to be on the PC. But hey, you'll never know.

This probably isn't SWBFIII since the developers aren't Free Radical, I'm still worrying it won't be coming out for the PC if its too graphic intensive. Its an Xbox 360 game of course it will have great graphics O.O *ouch....my heart*

I'll be getting it for giggles. I actually like my PSP, and can't wait to add another title to my collection.

And to all you guys who don't have a PSP, you'll be missing out....... :P

read this: http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Star_War ... efront_III

it states PC. Although this info may be inaccurate itself, not sure

i didin want a Battlefront III, unless everything, including custom maps, can be transported and put in battlefront III, and the custom weapons, reverse compatibility.

Basically cause of you guys Battlefront II is a III already! :D

just an idea, it could be the next big GT project.
I heartily agree with you dude. I would love to be a part of such an awesome mod. [RDH]Zerted has already said that the character customization is completely possible (minus multiplayer), and we have some of the models already! If Rebellion isn't going to take Renegade Squadron to the PC, then Gametoast ought to do it for them. There would be quite a bit of modelling and coding to do, but I'm sure there's plenty of people out there willing to help out. I noticed some brand new models of dark troopers and wookiees, not to mention the brand new alien species. Must... have...

... Not that we can start just now of course, LoL.

I'm wondering as to why Rebellion is using models that were created by Pandemic. Surely they would have been copyrighted or something? I don't know much about different companies sharing things and stuff, so you'll have to forgive me if that's a stupid question.

Anyway, it looks great! It's a shame that I don't own a PSP, but I doubt the game is so good that it's worth forking out the money for a console with only a few decent games. At least, that's how I hear it anyway.

Also, if Pandemic has handed the Battlefront series to Rebellion (UK based ftw), does that mean a Battlefront III from Free Radical is out of the question?

Hey Guys, this is not Star Wars BAttlefornt 3, this is Star Wars Battlefront Renegade Squadron! That are 2 Games! I think you all know vice citiy and san andreas for GTA right? this is something like that!! and they said that lucasarts dont wawnt to make Star Wars Battlefront 3 so Star Wars Battlefront is an other game, NOT THAT ONE!

@jango232: Well, can you imagine the kind of response you would get if you released a game that looked exactly like a game that was released two years ago? Anybody who wasn't familiar with the Battlefront series probably wouldn't buy it! At the moment, that's the only reason I can think of as to why this game isn't coming out for the PC; the graphics and the gameplay. I disagree, but I expect that's the way they'll see it. Release it to the PSP however, which DOES have bad graphics (I mean graphics as in, not so powerful etc.), and nobody will complain, such as game reviewer sites.

Indeed. I imagine Battlefront III as something completely different from the original 2 Battlefronts, though for the better or for the worse we'll have to see.

Edit:

Not necessarily. Think back to the Metroid Prime games. It only used one analog stick (the C-stick was for selecting beams) and yet the combat mechanics were amazing. As long as Rebellion gets it right, it shouldn't be a problem.

Otherwise, yeah, they're screwed.

Bah. this is total crapola. Battlefront belongs with the PC. When will people learn that...

The only down to that is that Wikipedia can be edited and revised by anyone.

Lucas Arts:Enhanced space combat features a refined control scheme. For the first time on PSP, players can also enter capital ships as they did in the console versions of Star Wars Battlefront II.
Do they want a gold star at the end of the day?

it's not BFIII. So don't called it BFIII. It's like a spin off of BFII.
Reasons why it's not BFIII:
A. it's only for PSP
B. Not named BFIII.

I'm rather glad this is only PSP. If it was for all systems, it would probably just be a crappy port like Battlefront II. (And to think I bought my PSP for that!)

Hopefully, they'll put more work into this then Battlefont II for PSP. I was expecting Battlefront II for PSP to be a portable version of the game, with relatively the same gameplay. Boy, was I wrong. Only 10 units per side, 6 in multiplayer? I can rarely find the enemy. They cut out all my favorite maps? They mutilated Mustafar? Plus, the controls sucked.

I hope this game makes up for my dissapointment in PSP Battlefront II.

Hmm... I'd say that this isn't supposed to be BF3 - just some crapola spinoff for PSP. It's like GTA with Vice City Stories.

True, true (funny how I comment on Prime, eh? Lol), but the lock on in BF2 sucks (even auto-lock on the PS2!), and locking on in Prime was necessary to have a good chance at fighting enemies. Plus, Prime had you using the R button to look around, and I don't think the PSP would have controls like that.

The last thing I'll say is that the PSP's control scheme seems to appeal to a lefty: the Analog Nub/whataver is on the left side, correct? I tried an FPS on it before, and I had a hard time moving around, then having to stop and aim.
