Create Textures

Hey,
I have another question:
How you get these great textures?
For Weapons, ships, etc?
I have a lot of programms, like Photoshop or texture maker,
but i cant create relly nice textures?
Can someone help me?

Every Picture Editing Program is able to create great textures. You just have to find out how by trying it out.

If you're like me and lack the artistic ability to create detailed textures from scratch then you can "cheat" by creating your low poly game model then duplicate it, UV map the original low poly model, then make the duplicate as high poly as you want by adding as much detail as you can imagine.
Then use Ultimapper to generate an Ambient Occlusion map from the high poly model and transfer that shadowing information to your low poly UV map.
Then take the AO map into Photoshop and paint color on it using the shadows as your guide then you can add dust, scratches or whatever to make it look even better.
You may as well generate a Normal Map too so you can bump the low poly model ingame later if you choose, though your game's lighting quality has to be set on High in order to see it.
