It's a free tool, so I don't think there's anything wrong with it.

It has ceased to be "Early December." I actually found a download a couple days ago, but it had a virus attached.

As of now, Crosswalk is back up, but ModTools is still down.

Just to confirm, it looks like Crosswalk 3.11 (the newest version) works fine with MshEx, and as mentioned above, is now available for download.
