Eliminating Pitch?

Post by theITfactor »

I need a way to eliminate the forward and backward pitch of a hover vehicle. For the Swamp Speeder, I simply removed the spring and it worked, but Mav's Swoop Bike falls through the terrain when I do this.

Is there a way to always keep it horizontal to the ground?

SpinRate, TurnRate, TurnFilter, PitchRate, LevelSpring, and LevelDamp affect control of the vehicle through the mouse... i haven't actually tried this, but couldn't you just set the PitchRate to 0?

Wait... If I understand you right...
You canceled out the spring on the swamp speeder, and it worked fine.
But when you did the same to Mav's Swoop, it fell through the terrain.
Correct?

If so... that sounds like its a problem with the model itself. :?

That's what I had figured, I assumed when he told me about it that it had something to do with some odd collisions that should be assigned to hover vehicles. I'm honestly surprised that the stock vehicles work without a spring, but there's obviously some collision they have that's different than regular terrain collision that makes them be able to do that.
