L4D blog is updated with some of the achievements with some "spoilers." I can't wait. Rumor is Wednesday I think.

Comes out Thursday. Well, at least for the Xbox players like myself. You know how "Thursday" might not always mean Thursday in Valve time :P

Also: http://kotaku.com/5520780/left-4-dead-2 ... -mutations

So mutations are weekly gametypes, eh? This is relevant to my interests.

They really figured out how to breathe life back into this game.

It'll likely be early Thursday for Xbox, and late night for PC.

:(

I'm excited, but I'm not going to work my schedule around it. I'll start it up when I see either a ton of posts that it's up or a bunch of friends on steam playing.

Indeed mutations sounds slick.

Dead Survivor Spoilers:
Hidden/Spoiler:
It was Bill all 4 times I played. He was in the room next to the generator parallel the other survivors, still holding his M-16. Looks like a Tank got him from the blood splatter. Of course my character is the one that had to die.
Anyways, the level itself is really fun, lots of twists and turns, lots of throwbacks to L4D, by which I mean assets, and some early hard rain effects that I only had the first time I played, must be Normal and higher only or something.

Definitely going to check this out tonight. Should be pretty cool.

Edit: How do you get the DLC? Steam isn't automatically downloading it like I thought it would....

Restart steam? It's downloading for me now.

If restarting doesn't work, try launching L4D2. It initializes the download that way.

Well, it would if the servers weren't overloaded.

EDIT: Ahaha, I've got 4 downloads going. Left 4 Dead 2 Add-on Support, Left 4 Dead 2 Authoring Tools, Left 4 Dead 2 Dedicated Server, and Left 4 Dead 2 itself.

I guess my Steam is just being stupid. I'll let it cool off, and try again later.

I blasted through it and took me about 42 minutes. It's pretty cool. I will have to play through it a few more times to give a fair judgement. Also the fact that the dialog changes all the time.
Hidden/Spoiler:
[Hide]Also at the end of my play through Louis says, " I have a feeling we'll be seeing more of them." Hmmmmm....

Ugh, I keep getting a "This game is currently unavailable" error.

Do I need to install the L4D2 addon support for this? I just don't understand why this isn't working... :?

Yeah, that must've been it. Once I downloaded that, it worked...weird.

Anyway....

I thought it was a pretty good campaign.
Hidden/Spoiler:
Yeah, I figured it would be Bill that was dead. Meeting up with the L4D1 survivors was pretty cool, I wish they were playable though, haha. Or even if they had stuck with you for a chapter. Still, it was good to hear Zoe yell "Behind you!" again (unfortunately, I never got a chance to hear Louis scream "Reloadin'!!!!!!" :P).

I thought the Wedding was pretty cool. The creepy rendition of "Here Comes the Bride" + the crying of the Bride-witch = totally freaky and awesome. The part in the sewers was interesting. Difficult, but still fun. Fortunately I had a Katana and an adrenaline shot for the part in the low tunnel towards the end. :P The last chapter was also pretty good. I liked being able to have fight off 6+ tanks, thanks to the extra firepower.

Didn't get a chance to use the new weapon though....

And LOL @ Ellis' man-crush on Francis.

Played through it. Pretty awesome. I liked it a lot better than Crash Course.

Oh, and for those who aven't seen it, The Passing Trailer.

I looked into it, and I think it's a Planet of the Apes reference.
You Maniacs! You blew it up! Ah, [dang] you! [gosh dang] you all to [heck]!
She said something along those lines, right? (Don't mind the substituted words, I did that so it wouldn't just say [Diet Dr. Pepper] and lose all meaning)
