I'm glad to see that this project is still in the works. The first one was very fun... except for the mining droids. Oh God, the mining droids...

Yeah... I spent 45 minutes of that campaign standing on top of a box shooting those darned things...

More on this topic though... that really does look sweet. And I'm hoping you do something like the level in Jedi Outcast (Cairn Reactor, maybe?), with the whole, "they see you, you go back to prison" thing, but I'm sure it will be awesome regardless of whether you take suggestions or not .

My thoughts exactly.

Same here!

Judging by the look of things, I'm going to guess it's a mining facility in an asteroid. It does have that asteroid look to it, right?

No, please don't, I hate that, you can't skip that cutscene, everytime I failed I had to watch an un-skippable cutscene of Kyle being brutally interrogated.

I was wondering, are we going to see the Shock Troopers again? They are very cool and I wish we hadn't seen the last of them in Aquilaris.

Heh, as did I, but I thought the whole idea of "you're seen, you're done" thing was cool.

Regardless, as I said before, I know that however Mav' does it will most likely be the best way that it could be done :P.

Speculation time.

So, Project "Drow". Something dealing with starfighters, I think, and Rebel prisoners. Well. Er....the Empire is enteching them into TIEs? Some form of brainwash could be present? I've gotta play Aquilaris over and look at more details.

It wasn't you're seen, you're done it was more like they touch the alarm you're done. Needless to say, that level took me forevere to complete.(thanks to that one turn the lights off room. :x ) But I really do like stealth levels,(In James Bond games the 4th level is always stealth) I'm interested how that "psuedo grappling hook" will work, plus my brother is always bugging me saying "when is the next rebel ops coming out?" I can finally tell him there has been an update and tell him "The Dark Times" was what that guy was working on. Keep up the good work Mav.
P.S. I glad he put this off in favor of the dark times. I'd rather have a huge new era mod, than one map.(but a very good map)

Wikipedia:
Drow is a mythical elf in Scottish folklore which lived underground. According to Scott: 'Possession of supernatural wisdom is still imputed by the natives of Orkney and Zetland Islands, to the people called Drows, who may, in most other respects, be identified with the Caledonian fairies.' The word is sometimes a synonym for the devil.
From that description I can guess they are trying to give Vace force powers, somewhat like the Shadowtroopers in Jedi Knight II: Outcast. Also of notice is the "lived underground" part, it could have something to do with the fact that the facility is underground, there must be something down there (the "Big L"?).

And of course that's just an added bonus.

But then...why use a Rebel prisoner for force powers? Why not a loyal Imperial trooper? It's not as if the Emperor is concerned for the trooper's welfare.

Wookiepedia, Lusankya article:
. In interrogating the Lusankya's prisoners, Isard was ruthless, employing any means necessary—including torture, drugs, and psychological conditioning—to learn what she desired. She even turned prisoners, usually captured Rebels, into sleeper agents. These agents would then be returned to their families, friends, and colleagues, where Isard would use them to spy on the Rebellion, perform sabotage, and assassinate enemies.
Force sensitive spies!

After you mentioned Lusankya it was pretty easy to piece everything together. :P

Still, how are they going to do it? I mean, it took Desann the whole power of the Valley of the Jedi and those Arturian crystals to endow his troops. What has the empire found this time? What source of power is strong enough to imbue the force into a common brain-washed spy?

Ragnos's scepter as used by Tavion in JK: Jedi Academy

I haven't played Jedi Academy, where was the scepter kept? Do you think the empire could have found it earlier than JK:JA?

Tavion bought it from an unwitting collector I think.
Then killed him of course.

She used it to drain the Force from locations with a strong aura. The scepter could then give the "Disciples of Ragnos" limited Force power (which disappeared when the scepter was destroyed) and to strengthen the abilities of the Reborn.

Sleeper agents =/= force sensitive spies. I'm not sure how you guys go off on such wild tangents, but the very thing that the imperials are said to have done is done today in (gasp!) the real world.

Only, to the best of my knowledge, that was after Endor.

Have you ever seen Darths & Droids? If Force-sensitivity is fostered by micro-organisms in the Jedi's blood, obviously the best way is a blood transfusion!
