It might be a LUA thing, but you can figure it, I want to make some chaotic scenarios where some bombers and stuff are "randomly" or timed to happen, mostly bombing runs and airborne assaults while the infantry is making its own fight on the ground, I recall Kashyyk and Geonosis random explosions but they seem to happen only whenever you are NOT in their range, anyone have an idea, I think it would be nice to have some of those sky-prop fighters to drop some bombs and stuff, ZE animations would help making out flying patterns but bombing is a different story.
This kind of concept is actually a wide array of ideas, from bombing runs to ambient and even permanent interaction like destructable buildings collapsing.

First of all, the explosions you see on Kashyyyk and Geonosis have no bearing on your proximity to them - sometimes they'll explode when you're near, sometimes they won't. They are randomly timed explosions, although they don't do any damage.
However, you can do what you want to do as well. All you'd want to do is probably make some bombers into turrets (with the bombers' meshes, of course) and animate them. They should auto-target enemy units (provided they are assigned a team in ZE).

Great... I assume they will fire from their designated HPs and will have no problem with being in movement by splines, although to make it more simple I would make them drop their bombs "randomly" in case enemy units are in designated regions and so on.

You don't need flyer splines if they're just animated turrets, which is what I suggest. As long as you set up your weaponsections for your turret the same as they're set up in the regular vehicle .odf, everything will work fine.
They won't shoot at designated areas - they'll shoot at enemies. What I'm suggesting is making essentially autoturrets (like the autoturrets you see in a space map, the behavior will be the same)- except these autoturrets are ZE-animated, they look like bombers, and they fire bombs.

Make sure and add this line to the bomber's ODF:
if you want the bombers to fire even when there are no enemies nearby.
