MP Chat modding?
Is it possible to extend the length that one can type in Multiplayer, or cause the messages to stay on-screen for longer, or edit how that chat is displayed/inputted in any way whatsoever?

Yes, edit the HUD files. But I don't think you can change the length of the message.
