Lag problem

Hey GT,
I have a problem, and is has been occurring for over a month now. The game will lag for exactly 3 seconds, then play for 1 second. As you can imagine this has been annoying and I have been trying various ways to get rid of the problem. I have changed the Resolution on the computer itself, The screen size to 800x600, and other ways.
My specs are these:
iMac 21in. with Windows XP boot camp running parallels 5.
I bought the game on amazon (english), about a year ago.
My processor is 2.66Ghz
I'll provide more specs later
Any help would be much appreciated! Thanks

I don't know what you mean by "play for 1 second'. But does this cause your game to crash?

Tell us what your settings are set to in the video tab for SWBF2.

Ok, I am familiar with this, so let me take a shot at it!
A. Your computer is old/aging and its wee parts weren't as fast as they used to be
B. You need to wait a bit for the computer to catch up before you start using a program like battlefront II that will lag it to bits if the computer hasn't had enough time to boot up (I typically wait a good 17 minutes before my computer is fast enough)
C. Your computer hates you very much. Solution: Kick it nice and hard (Don't actually kick it, I'm just kidding)
So yeah. I ordered them from most likely to least. See if I am right.

nice. I like that pic to emphasize your point acryptozoo. I still think he should try my little points before yours as they would save him lots of time if it only is a small thing. But still yeah, acryptozoo, you are right though. Clean up time!

Nice pic
My mac is from 2007 and I usually wait a little until I play, but I will try to use disk utility to see what is wrong.
EDIT Okay, the problem was in the disk permissions.
Thanks it is beginning to be better.

If nothing ends up working for you uninstall the game, turn your comp off and leave it off for a good 30 seconds, reboot, wait bout 20 minutes, re-install.

letting a computer cool down doesnt help tosolve software problems...
anyway, did you upadte any driver that could now cause the crash?

Maybe darthDUCK is right, Mac tends to have an update every 5 minutes, maybe it could've changed the BIOs. (this happened to me, I bought gears of war and it required a bios update and every other game that I had crashed after the bios change but gears of war, so I uninstalled it )
