for the 47+ emails i got, no you werent all banned , haha. I was testing out the settings on the forums to see how loads are on the server , how many actual users .vs bots are the forums and i have updated the settings. Logins are still required everytime you visit the site. you have 9 minutes to post something or get logged out. if you take 9 minutes to write your post you will be timed out. If it takes you more then 9 minutes to post or if you sit not clicking anything on the site for 9 minutes it only makes sense to make you relogin to let others leech bandwidth your not using. Other features for guests have been totally removed or set to usless status such as searches for guests. It looked like 500% of our traffic was from people not logged in and bots so this will kill all that instantly. users with valid emails can enjoy the site, people that have non working emails on their accounts will bounce and i will remove them promptly so make sure your email account in your gt account settings (profile) works or risk tossed account. Also people who sign up and dont access the site to use their new account at all or within 48 hours or so will have their accounts wiped. this site is slammed with non members , and i cant tell what they are all doing so if people sign up they can use everything if not they cat search once every 2 minutes and not post. ok im ranting. sites back. i will never ban everyone and close the site so those emails are just silly.

Do I risk then being banned because I had a computer crash and my email is temporarily erased?

no you wont get banned. people with dead emails that watch/get emails on reply/pms will be removed thats all. no bans.the issue is people that are watching topics or asking to get PMs automatically when a reply is made to them or anytime they get a pm , it emails their address which in turn fills up my email if their account email is invalid. im tired of having full email boxes with bounces from peoples emails being wrong so its easier then pming 50 people to say "put a working email" and not know if they wil update it. this way they update or they bye bye and I dont anyrmore time to thumb thru 50 emails a day for some kid in poland who gets emails every 20 minutes from pms at gt about suzies new psd file and lan parties and why is someone mad at someone on the forums, lol. and such and such. imagine running 100 or more sites and finally getting a chance to relax and going to gt and finding piles of pms and emails that arent even for you. its like running into traffic on a rusty unicycle and yelling OK im ready to have fun.

well im sure eventually we will need to add totally new games and leave the swbf stuff up archived. I dont see 2 years from now there being piles of mods for these old games. As cool as these games are looking online we are almost the only people in the planet still talking about this game, i guess thats cool in "survivor, castaway" kind of way.

The site goes up and down , sometimes for days, but its always been here even when i have been knee deep in everquest addiction, and world of warcraft crack and even star wars galaxies which forced me to eat my dinners by my laptop for 1.4 years.

Who knows what will become of gt but ill always have the site here, love chatting with my crazy 633 friends here and seeing what is going in the gaming world.
