yeah i completely remodeled the entire ship and based it off of the b-wing model from rogue squadron that i have in my posession, i still need to make the UV maps and a new texture since i deleted the old, ill post some pics later when i add the last couple of things to the model.

here are some updated pics, the cockpit is only there as a stand in as a guide so that i texture the cockpit on the way i want it then all those edges outlining it will be deleted, this thing already has too many polies so im defenitely not gonna make a cockpit. i might however make a first person view, but not a cockpit that you can see from the outside of the ship. the only thing im gonna change about the landing gear is im taking away the one that comes outta the fuselage and making one come outta the cockpit pod neat the middle, but itll have 2 very nicely folding gears like the old one did.

In my own strategy ideas, I was more thinking of improving the Tie Interceptor instead, giving it slightly better armor, considerably more powerful blasters, and better maneuverability. The standard Tie Fighter could be changed to become the "interceptor" class, and then something like a Tie Advanced could become the multi-purpose fighter.

Admittedly, a B-Wing would fly differently then an improved Tie Interceptor, but hey, thats just variety.

yeah but any space map that i may make ill replace the LAAT/i with the B-Wing becuase well LAATs dont belong in GCW era and i started on a lambda that i would replace the theta with for the imperials. ive taken a break from modeling for a while to get better at character modeling and animation but i doubt ill do any unit models for SWBF2 just because theyre such low detail and i just would prefer to make chars for JA. im gonna come back to this model and try and finish it and the lambda up really soon.

i doubt it cause im no where even near being finished cause ive had too much other stuff goin on to have time to work on any models at all the past couple of weeks, and i just flat out dont like his map at all.

OFF TOPIC: Yah General_Mobo, just delete the accidental second post.

I see nothing wrong with leting x-wing use the B-wing. I see that you obviously have yout invisionsment of the battle over endor, but unless you still plan to make your own BOC map, theres no reason not to let x-wing use it. His map is pretty much a cool interesting map and his interiors are awsome (and realistic), Its not exactly ment to recreate BOE

11of3s Endor map has the DS II and is really acurate looking, you should let him use it atleast. But I still hope youll give allow everyone use the B-wing.

Anyways I hope you can find the time to finish the B-wing, looks awsome so far.

yeah but the thing is that its not textured at all, i still have the old model but it looks so terrible compared to the old that i dont even want that one to be public at all. i just havnt found any time to work on anything to do with modding at all, i havnt even opened XSI for a while and if i did it was only for a few secs. there is still the old model if you look back to the first couple of pages and that is in game and all but it looks terrible compared to the new.

Either he releases for xwing to use, or make his own BOC map, its his choice, not you guys's. Modding is a hobbie, not a job >.>
