Why did they get rid of the original Jar Jar voice actor for...whoever they have now?

Ahmed Best voiced Jar Jar in "Bombad Jedi" and "Supply Lines".

I'm watching the battle of ryloth episode right now, and is it just me, or does it seems out of place that Jar Jar could do all of those tricks with the dishes without messing up?

This IS TCW, right? Only one third of the episodes reflect on what the characters on the movies are really like.

I think your right, I mean hes really clumsy, but this is as mitch said TCW where you got to take what you get, not what would make sense.
But then again, do you really want to see a whiney Anakin, a clumsy jar jar, and so on....
P.S. Did anyone else notice the bad sound quality, or was it just local? It was really distorted and echoy at times, and weird at others.

Maybe he grew out of clumsiness between Phantom Menace and Attack of the clones.

Anyone what to talk about the fact that next friday's episode has a character from ep3 rots, who was played by George Lucas himself
thoughts?
He IS NOT doing the voice, thats right ladies, George Lucas is stepping down to the guy who does dooku's voice.
Anyone else like me wouldve like to hear him do the voice?

Sounds like the episode will be about a father going out on his own to save his daughter at all costs...kind of reminds me of the movie Taken (great movie, by the way - you basically get to watch Liam Neeson go on a rampage for 1-1/2 hours).

I would be stoked because the storyline sounds good, except that they said Greedo was going to be in it, which is a problem because he wasn't supposed to be born until the end of the Clone Wars. Say what you want, but I like continuity, and not messing with official canon. The show is good storytelling, but I paid for comics that are now not really star wars comics because Lucas has decided to completely change the story (Ventress and Maul being from Dathomir???). I guess he's allowed to do that, but it's not OK with me. I'm off The Clone Wars because of it. Rant over, hope the show makes the rest of you happy.

Maul is from Iridonia. Just because there is another Zabrak, from Dathomir, doesn't mean Maul was from there.

Then how did Anakin talk to kid Greedo on Tatooine in episode I?
Oh wait, that's Greedo the Elder...

Yeah, the only thing I kind of don't like about this show is that it overwrites the canon that we already know, and makes it useless, for lack of a better word.
Though I don't think there are that many cases of canon being overwritten, so there's no real "issue." Or are there more cases that I haven't seen? (Because I can only remember two.)

I only noticed Anakin's scar and Grievous' cough that don't make sense...

Hate to break it to you, but Lucas SAID so:
http://forcecast.net/story/topstory/Wee ... 134018.asp
, I'll save you some time, it's sixty minutes in, and Lucas explicitly states that Savage Oppress is Maul's brother, they're both from there, and Ventress is the same species as Maul.
It's an obscure way to find it, so I don't blame you for not knowing, but it's an IGN interview, and it's George Lucas saying so.

I can understand giving Maul a brother. I can understand ignoring whatever parts of Expanded Universe he wants. But changing an established character's species, especially when said character looks nothing like what he's switching it to, that's just sloppy worldbuilding.

i give this show ALOT of give and leeway, but maul and ventress are NOT the same species, i dont care if lucas himself says that, maul is a Zabrak(i think) and Ventress is a Rattatack(i think, also misspelled)
END OF STORY, NEXT

Wait wait wait wait wait.
So Lucas said Ventress is Zabrak now?
Perhaps he does these sort of things just to make all the long-time Star Wars fans squirm.
He's probably on this forum right now, laughing at our reactions...
Ventress does not even look Zabrak. She's Rattataki, and that's final.
