I know, My Computer isn't friendly with BF2. I'd Like to see someone make Pong Krell and Umbara, maybe?

Re: All-Purpose Request Thread (Mk. IV)
taivyx made a mod with realistic weapons once (terra strife) but i dont think he released the sounds. furthermore i dont think its possible to create a global sound.lvl that replaces the stock sounds with "realistic" ones because that would require all the raw stocksounds.Noobasaurus wrote:Did anyone ever release a sound.lvl file with realistic gunfire and whatnot?
no, vyse left long time ago and nobody attempted to make a custom jedi temple ever since his map.darthhalv wrote:Does any body have assets of this map http://starwarsbattlefront.filefront.co ... mple;72836

Ah ha! Here's an idea: Taivyx did release his Terra Strife side assets (search for it in the Assets Links Thread), and the pack contains all of the weapon ODFs referencing the custom weapon sound names. You can then download the Terra Strife mod (search for it on SWBF Files) and use the compiled sound .lvl from it in your own mod. Then, you can open up its mission.lvl to see how that sound .lvl should be loaded in your lua. I don't think Taivyx would mind, given that he no longer cares about SWBF2 and if you give him proper credit.DarthD.U.C.K. wrote:taivyx made a mod with realistic weapons once (terra strife) but i dont think he released the sounds. furthermore i dont think its possible to create a global sound.lvl that replaces the stock sounds with "realistic" ones because that would require all the raw stocksounds.Noobasaurus wrote:Did anyone ever release a sound.lvl file with realistic gunfire and whatnot?

But remember that the collision goes nuts when you go outside of the 0.3 - 2.0 interval.Ginev wrote:I will resize them from the msh.option file.

Re: All-Purpose Request Thread (Mk. IV)
I hope I can post this on this thread. Anyhow, I have a question for everyone: Would you like to be on a mod team with me? I would make sides, and you would make the maps. I personally hate mapping, and love sides. I have XSI 7.5, so I would easily be able to make 1) re-skins of anything(vehicles/units) 2) new weapons 3) effects 4) jedi/meele units (no new animations!) However, with 7.5 I CAN NOT make: 1) anything the requires animations. So no new T4-B model or somehintg like that. 2) new player units (like a trandoshan).
As of yet, i dont have the BF1 tools so I wouldn't be able to make sounds either. That will change.
If this sounds like something your interested in, you can PM me or add me on x-fire. My x-fire is soap82020 and we can go from there.
@Ginev an easy way of sizing models is to import the stock one. If your making a pistol, import that stock one and see how big it is. Then you can easily size your's to fit the unit hand. If your making a rock, import the different rocks and see how they were made and then size yours acordingly.

Re: All-Purpose Request Thread (Mk. IV)
The godlike Meshtool by RepSharpshooter can export BF meshes to obj.Ginev wrote:I use free modeling program Wind3D.I can open only wings or obj formats
And what about getting XSI 7.5 ModTool? It's free, easy to use and in combination with the MshEx (also by RepSharpshooter) you can export your stuff (provideed it does not have animations or a "skeleton") on your own.
I got it and it saves me a lot of time and work.
