Hi GT community,

I have been a host and player of swbf for a couple of years now
and I have appreciated this resource to find answers and neat mods.

I have investigated 1.3 beta, and have found that it has some nice internal
admin functions that are lacking in 1.2, such as an admin console that I would
love to be able to use.

I wanted to see if anyone had any advice about how to "trick" the 1.3 beta dedicated
server software into hosting 1.2.

I have done a small part--I have hex edited the 1.3 beta server software to show
up on the 1.2 gamespy server listing. This was a simple search for version 1.104
and replace with 1.2 text.

However, when trying to join with a 1.2 game, I get a "version mismatch" error.

So, I figure that there must be another place in the server that is coded to know
that it is not version 1.2.

Anyone (Battlebelk if you are there) have any ideas or advice?

Hi there, you showed me this.

There are things you can transfer, but most of them are hack related. For example, you could end a map and restart it without kicking people off. Talk to Phazon about these hacks if you wish to use them. He made his own C++ program edition of the Battlefront Server but stopped working on it sadly.

What would be nice is an instant Alt + F4 auto boot button if certain words are typed in chat (Cussing for example). It needs to be looked at further.
