Slight problem.... Vista automatically comes with DirectX 10 right? Because when I try and start Republic Commando it tells me that I have an older version installed and it won't run... why?

Because you should have stuck with XP. I'm not trying to be smart, I'm being serious. I won't buy Vista for at least another year when the game compatibility list has gone up. Plus it'll have more bugs worked out.

Although I understand Tean's view, I would rather get vista sooner than later.

Ok, have you tried checking the compatibility boxes in the 'properties' of the shortcut/.exe you are trying to run?

You can tell it to run in compatibility with XP and that sometimes works.

There is another more difficult alternative: Dual boot XP

If you decide to Dual boot, let me know and I will show you how.

OK I'll change the compatibility mode and see if it works. SWBF2 installs and plays without a problem so that's a relief. :)
