Anyone else played Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 and/or it's expansion pack Yuri's Revenge? They're fun as heck when you're bored! Even when you aren't that bored, they're still pretty fun, especially with the few Filefront mods for 'em.

Anyway...am I alone here?

i was actually thinking about buying the cnc pack with tiberian sun, as i never played that, it only costs $20, and i have $40 left from christmas and nothing else to spend it on...

ya, the cutscenes rock! those games are maybe old, but still great fun to play!

You know I would have posted this earlier if I jusr didn't find out today. First time to actually watch G4 in a while. Apparently all 12 C&C games are going to be released in one complete bundle. Command & Conquer: The First Decade Got a 4 out of 5. Time to freshen up on my C&C skills again. Ahh, the nastalgia.

If you do, you gotta get it's expansion: Firestorm. It's really fun. I have played TS, TS:F in a while, but they really were fun. The infantry seem to have the same amount of hitpoints as light vehicles, though...seriously, it takes, like, but Wolverines (if I remember the right name) about 20 seconds to kill a single infantry. Kinda sucks, but oh well, you'll probably be sending out larger numbers of troops/vehicles in that game.

It really sucks Westwood shutdown or whatever the term is (kinda tired right now), as they were working on Renegade 2 and Red Alert 3...DANGIT!

Off-topic : Well, Raptor', might I know what you mean in your last sentence exactly ? Would Westwood Studios have been in bankruptcy prematurely, whereas Commander & Conquer Renegade 2 / Red Alert 3 had been announced by this Company, or did it simply give up both those two "highly-awaited" Projects for unknown or irrelevant reasons ?...

...hm...I never heard of any reason of them shutting down, now that you mention it...food for thought, I'll look that up...

It seems that Westwood Studios no longer exist independently, and has fully merged with Electronic Arts, which may explain why the Command & Conquer Projects you mentioned above have not been developped and released, since I guess "more urgent" products needed to be finalized before inaugurating brand-new ones...
Moreover, if you need to get details regarding "Hijarna's Fortress" - Which is a location belonging to the Star Wars Universe -, I would suggest consulting such a Google Results Page, as it contains helpful and surprising informations about this place and the materials employed to build it...

Stupid smart person! lol jk Someone made a "Renegade 2" mod for the first one...I never tried it...I imagine it would be "interesting" to try...lol

And that Hijarna's Fortress thing sounds like it would be a fun map for SWBF II.

Off-topic : Do you have any idea of the possible locations I could download this "Renegade 2" mod for Command & Conquer from, Raptor' ?
Moreover, designing a Star Wars Battlefront II level based on "Hijarna's Fortress" would be possible if we owned previews or Screen-Captures of the concerned Star Wars location...

Anyway, after much searching, I could not track down the mod for you. Google was absolutely useless, and none of the sites I used to go to all the time had it.

I am not sure that this address really contains helpful informations or resources, but as it deals with Command & Conquer Renegade 2, I guess it might interest you, in case you didn't know this location before, of course !...

...I think I've seen that one before, but not sure...maybe that model pack is what I'm thinking of...I'll keep looking, I've gotten myself curious...
