Apparently the armor piece can be bought later, it's just one of those early access things, like the Thompson in Bad Company 2.

Wow, Forge looks a thousand times better. I've never really used it in Halo 3 but now I will. I also noticed that in one part of the vid the Spartans were riding on vehicles that looked exactly like ATVs... I guess they're an earlier version of the Mongoose.

Two more featurettes:

And another link to the Forge ViDoc

ForgeWorld looks beyond amazing. I can see many an hour wasted away in front of the TV remaking old-school maps. Hopefully there's some Covenant-themed stuff.

Forge world looks excellent. I would really like to get my hands on it. But to do that, I'd have to get my hands on a 360 first.

This guy has footage from the actual panel on his channel, they show a few more things like the filter effect called "Purple" which makes the map nighttime. Also, they go more in depth with the objects, the teleporter (It's a word, spellchecker) which can now move vehicles, actual Falcon use with a gunner, and the killball in use.
Oh, and Leaving the Battlefield area markers. So glad I don't have to use walls anymore.

I strongly recommend starting from the central platform and seeing how much is left for the rest of the map. Although, I can see the CIS Base being too big, parts-wise. Maybe just copy the Clone side twice, but I can actually see some parts built for this (Round platform object, semi-circle with ramp going up for main bases, Shade Turrets). It should work this time.
I have so many ideas, kind of wish I could start working on them now.

For people who'd like to see an unboxing of all the different versions of Halo Reach and view it's contents:

And at the end there's a little surprise for those of you who didn't know about it

Dangit. I'm gone for a week and Bungie reveals all of this. Shoot. Well, they've done literally everything I could have asked for with forge, and then some. Except maybe forging firefight. But whatever.

Also, anyone notice in their newer firefight video that an elite was driving a forklift?

If anyone has a Halo: CE PC gamekey that was used online before a few months ago, it may be time to dig it out. Long-time Bungie supporters will be getting some "visual flair" for their profile if they have a game key used online before May 26th of this year I believe.

Also, it was confirmed to not be armor. Probably just a rank that shows up next to your name or something.

Yeah, I'm thinking it will be a little symbol next to your name like in Halo 3 how b.net users got the little septagon symbol.
