Failed to save scene before system failure error in XSI

For some reason, XSI crashes and I get this message "Failed to save scene before system failure" does anyone know how to fix this?

I usually get this when trying to import a model into XSI that has somehow been corrupted, if that is what you were trying, maybe check the model again

I don't think it's a model error because I can import the model in XSI. I think the source of the crash is when I try to drag/move anything in XSI XSi crashes.
