Steam's Holiday Sale is starting now and the deals are amazing.
Today only:
- Portal is $3
- Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is $6
- Prince of Persia games are 75% off
- Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition is $20.

Until January 2nd:
- Valve Complete Collection is $50
- Individual Valve games are 50% off (Though considering Portal is 75% off today, I think its safe to say that some games may be cheaper on other days, might be best to wait until the 2nd to buy Valve games on sale, just in case they go cheaper on other days)
- EA games are 50% off

How many hours could I squeeze out of Fallout 3?

Mac= an unfortunate game handicap. I bought Portal for $10 once, but gave it to a friend because it didn't work, but now that these games are Mac compatible, I want to look into Portal.

Its a great game, just a little short compared to most others. You should have got it when it was free for almost a month on Steam. Still, $3 is a great deal.

But yeah, the Christmas/New Year's sale is the best one of the year. I don't know if I'll end up getting anything, I don't have PayPal so everything I get through Steam is either retail or through points on sites which usually takes days. So that's why this sale is so awesome, two weeks of great prices without just the 24hr sales. I have some points saved up so I'll wait and see.

BFBC2 Vietnam looks great for on 15 bucks. It better be a big expansion

Its not very big(4 maps now, another one coming soon, 3 weapons for each class) but it has a very different feeling compared to the main game.
