sup

i doubt anybody checks anymore but i posted yesterday in the requests forum HERE
asking for some collision blocks to aid scum and i in some of our projects.

so i was messing around with jedi temple yesterday, and i suddenly got a bunch of things working! :D

everything basically works now, except the reb/cis ai get stuck and their first cp.
and i've fixed nearly all the collision geometry except for in the jedi archives/library, which is why i need those collision blocks!


ill post some screenies when i get home tonight, and possibly even throw out a beta if i can get the lazy bots to move from their spawn!

great. well earlier i added ONE files from the assets, and the whole map crashes zeroedit. :evil:
i tried rebuilding the entire level and project 3 times and its still crashing in game...

argh
some days i really hate modding with a passion

anyways just updating

well, i think i know what was messing it up- so when i get home ill see if i can fix it and if i can il release a beta tonight
but in order to finish it i need those collision blocks! otherwise the library will still be a mess

Wow, more maps for SWBF1! :)

There is a WHOLE bunch of us at http://forums.swbfmac.com/ who would like to see more SWBF1 maps as most of us are Mac users and SWBF2 simply isn't available to us. :)

I hope you can fix it :) Like he said he need those collision blocks...so if you know XSI and are willing to make
a few collision blocks see the request thread for more details.

yeah modding officially sucks. ive rebuilt this entire project file more times than id care to remember, and its still giving me the same problem.
im so fed up with this i decided to do something else. so i moved back to tantive iv, and not thats crashing. so i moved on to mygeeto, and that works fine. in fact, its beautiful, and its nearly done! :D

scum and i are already workin together on these, he just has way more time than i do ;)
what do you mean by join? you mean the mac forums?
and hey, if you make me those blocks, i will be a happy man :)


this project is officially on hold until i work up the patience to try again. :evil:

Although my zeroeditor is somewhat inoperable currently, I am fairly certain there are some invisible objects with collision boxes already in the game. This is best observed in the invisible walls of Mos Eisley. If I recall correctly, these were com_inv_col series in the common folder. If out of more feasible options, you could create a formation of them to simulate the original collision boxes. I will check out the cols after I get zeroeditor working again.

P.S. The fixing of zeroeditor will probably be somewhat high priority, since I have my own mod/map that I have been tinkering with.

one step ahead of ya mate :D

ive already been using the com_inv_col stuff to recreate missing collision in the levels. but its just you can only do so much with 4 sizes of squares, i need more to be able to fix it accurately, and in some cases, fix it at all...

I don't play BF1 anymore (although I still own it), but this map looks awesome. Congratulations with getting the temple in playable order! You should try to use some 501st meshes and skins if you can though. Karnage used to mod BF1, and he got all of the Ep3 Clones working in BF1 (when he played it). You might try contacting him and seeing if you can get the source files, he might not mind helping you (if you decide to contact him, tell him I recommended contacting him, it may help)

adding sides would be the easy part. but i dont have any intention of doing that, though it would be cool. these projects scum and i are working on are strictly MAP conversions- to provide new maps for battlefront 1. but not a mod.

if perhaps after the final versions are released, and you want to use the source files to create a mod with BF2 sides for your own personal use, we can talk about that later- send me a pm.
