Ok so i've been thinking about this and the only thing missing in this mappack are the loadscreens and minimaps so decided to finish as early as possible ... Sadly i'm going on vacation so you might have to wait until august before i release this :S sry ... my new job and my pet are tacking alot of time lol

Oh well... I guess we can wait.

shame about the wait but I dont mind I only just noticed that the 79th look alot like the 607th

OK, I said I wasn't going to release this mappack too early and it's true but don't worry guyz, the wait won't be in vain because I have a new map for all of you

On the small colony of Hiktus, the republic fleet has landed to refuel and replenish their supplies. Having received this information, the CIS prepare to attack the capital City of Hiktus in an effort to stop the Republic's advancement in the outer rim by destroying what they need, valuable supplies and vulnerable troops...

so i hope 5 pics of my new map have been enought to pick ure curiosity but i have 1 question for u guys... i feel that this map could look better but i'm not sure whats wrong with it... can any1 pinpoint what to change ???

2 things i already know, the 79th haven't been added yet( gonna take 7 secs) and i'm sorry i forgot when i posted to look for the siez of the pictures, i'll reupload them if i have time ....?

Ingenious use of Utapau stuff.

You got a lot of orange there, but all of it is either in the sky or the windows, what you need is something flashy or colorful in the ground level to break the dullness of those walls, also the cliffs could be darker and more, uh, rocky, right now it looks like pudding world.

I think this map is perfect for walkers.

I personally fail to understand how a walker would be able to get through all that, maybe the AT-RT but still very difficult and probably useless.

Yes, I was thinking of the AT-RT and some Dwarf Spideys.

kk well thx for the tips ... anyways this map needs alot more polishing because lets be honest, it's ugly and the fun factor is one of the worst i've ever experienced i'll mak it feel as if it's really a city ( just need to change little things ) and add bigger playing field ...

Anyways yes the map is 50 % done, i just have to do major tweaks lol

this is an awesome map, for some reason it reminds me of WoW.

OK well i'm sorry to tell you guyz but this project is now cancelled until further notice so if the admins want to lock the topic for now, go ahead...


The reason why i am leaving this project if fairly simple, the modtools don't work anymore on my computer, i don't know why and i can't finalize the maps ... and i don't want to release them without any cleaning done nor any minimaps or loadscreens ... so, i hope you guys will understand ... but be assured that if i can fix this, with or without your help, i'll finish it as fat s i can with the new maps added

Hey man I'm sorry to hear this. I only just discovered this topic and was sufficiently impressed by the pictures and then dissapointed when I found the last post. I have to credit your resourcefulness with the asset models here. Umm, all I can suggest for your modtool problem from what I know of it is to try reinstalling.

Man, that's terrible. These maps were coming along really well and then something like this happens. Hopefully you can get your modtools working again and resume work on this project but until then the 79th Maps will have to remain silent.

Yup u guessed it, the 79th assault battalion mappack is in the works again because my modtools are now ( i have no idea how ) fixed.
As you may know, this has been in the works for a long time and i think it's time to up the scale a bit, if you are good at making sides, just pm me i need someone to help me for the galactic civil war sides and I also may accept some new maps for the pack so if you are a good mapper, pm me, i might be interested in adding your work...

In other words, if you are interested to be part of the 79th mapack team pm me and depending on the state of my school work i might need your help.
