im modelling for this map. and Slayer ill get you the siege tower, battering ram and wall models when you get on Xfire.

You dont have to rely on that huge blueish reactor core anymore im currently in the process of modelling the citadel on the far right

Nice one. That building kinda ruined the atmosphere, I think. (The Mygeeto one.)

Like I said, if one of the people who is defenintly doing this "Offically", would like me to, I could do the sides and such.
Nice reference pic too, good luck on the modeling.

Well I guess me and Slayer are the closest you can get to the ones who are doing this "officially". And yea more help is always welcome
I think I figured out a way to have some order to the whole "everyones map" concept.
I will post Goals, what we need done what has yet to be done, and the stuff that needs tweaking and help finishing. If anyone wants to help, thats the best place to start. I guess itll be that if anyone completes one of the things we need done then they are "officially" part of the team

Or if you want to suggest something you can do to help in a specific area like Bac-Talan the n you are officially part of the team as well (welcome to the team Bac-Talan

The more you help, the more say you have in the map. Thats the best way I can think of doing it. So from now on ill post the things we need help with on this map. Contribute what you can, this is for everyone. If we get enough ppl working on this map this could go pretty quick. So without further ado here are the first goals
New Goal:
Now that we got the map down we need skinners. Orcs and defenders. I know they will probably look horrid but anything is better than stormies and rebs. Im thinking the elf thing that Vyse did for his Hyrule Temple map with the Bothan would be cool as well.
New Goal:
Swords, Bows, and w/e those weapons that the orcs use are called. We need another good modeller to help out w/ the weaps. I am currently preoccupied working on the wall and citadel so I dont have time for the weaps. If anyone wants to take charge of a class of weapons like swords or bows thats up for grabs.
more to come.....
Note: idk how big the interest pool is for this map but having someone else do all this stuff isnt imperitive to the completion of this map. If no one else decides to pick up this stuff ill prolly just end up doing it myself. I dont mind that, itll just make this map take longer to complete

Right now, I'm probably going to go to the map and try to change some stuff. And no0bs, do you still have those walls? If you did it would be a lot better. What's your Xfire?
[EDIT]And should we make a new topic or something so that we can edit the title and such? Or stay with this one and hope no0bs comes here often?

I dont see anything wrong with this topic so let just stay here as long as we need to. And the citadel is coming along nicely, I wont be able to work on it tonight cuz im going rock climbing w/ some friends but what I have done already looks cool. I almost have the outer wall for the citadel completed. (no little details and such on it yet, just the basic wall and the towers) Tom tho ill prolly finish the outer walls of the citadel completely w/ portaculls and everything so watch for some screenies.
And i have n0bs wall, no need to bother him for it. He sent it to me before he uninstalled XSI.

Hm, well considering that there were no Orcs at Helms Deep, then you mean Uruk-Hai, right? Unless of course, everyone decides that making a Uruk-Hai skin is too hard...
Anyways, I'm planning on taking a stab at making a Uruk-Hai skin... Which model should I use for it? I was thinking some Jedi would be good, but I dunno... Meh, I'll just use a Jedi.

I think you should try, if not a smaller version of a wampa, then taking a Bothan, reskinning it, and scaling it up by a small factor. Both of those have a hunched posture that would work well for an Uruk.

Well, I have no idea how to do the rest of what you said, but I'll reskinning a wampa, a bothan, and I'll try a wookie too.

lol yea im here whenever i have the time ill change the title n stuff whenver u want me to. I like how a lot of ppl are contributing to this looking good guys. Umm you guys should talk to t551t551. He was the guy who originally was gonna help me with anims for the wall and doorway (destruction).

OK, since all of you want to stick to realism, i have studied some things in my LOTR Beistery, and i found that Uruks werent the only villains at helms deep. Their also were:
Dunlendings

Hmm, I didn't know those were at Helms Deep.
I'll look in my copy of The Two Towers (the book) and see what I can find.
If not in the book... then...
Oh, and Uruk's didn't have the hunched posture, that was Orcs, Uruk Hai were taller then men and extremely strong.
I'll try the troll after I finish my "idea" (it could be good!)

I dont know if they were mentioned in the book, i just read they were in helms deep from reading Characters from Tolkien: A Bestiary
im not sure if you can get it in stores anymore, i got it from a used bookshop.
EDIT: oh, by the way, its by David Day, in case you want to get it from your local library.

I've got some bad news. ZeroEditer won't work anymore. When ever I try to load the map, about five seconds into the load it quits out. I have tried this on other maps and it works perfectly. I didn't do anything weird to it either, it just stoped working. Any help on how to fix this would be greatly appreciated.

Maybe you should try sending the file to some one else on your team. Not everything just the world1 folder and see if it works for them. If it does then maybe you have a problem on your computer or with one of the assets you used.
