I just recently got that game and played it through, and boy oh boy, it was a chore. So much walking (or levitating, whichever you prefer). I just started on Oblivion (which I got in the same package), and it's already twice as good thanks to the fact that I can quickmove to other locations.
Lol, it depends.
In Morrowind you had to walk, but there was beautiful and varied environments. Plains, swamp, ashlands, ect. Farms through the country side, and the occasional nude Nord that was tricked by a witch. If you really didn't want to walk much, there are Stilt Striders, Teleportation, (Mark, Recall, Alumsivi Intervention.), Proprion Indexies, boats. Also, always start with the Sign of the Steed. + 25 speed.
Downside is, Cliff Racers suck, (Mod to fix) and a horse or Guar mount would be nice. (And if you have Blood Moon, there are mods for this. Never play vanilla.)

In Oblivion, it might as well be South Dakota with a demonic invasion. Just forest, with alittle swamp, and the Colovian Highlands are alitle plains-ish. The rapid transit in Oblivion is there to hide the more lacking landscape. Oblivion was made more to cater to an impatient console crowd IMO, the country-side lost alot of charm, besides ruins, and you could skip right to those.
Upside is that, admittedly, it can be tiring to walk, thus the horse. (or dragon)

Edit: Oh and if you want to travel fast in Morrowind, get a speed boosting spell, potion, or scroll. Or Use Scroll of Tinur's Hoptoad.
Type in console
player->additem sc_tinurshoptoad 1
Number you want
Also, Scroll of Icarian Flight, it's dangerous, but you won't go anywhere faster.

Edit: And Boots of Blinding Speed.

I actually did most of that; I was playing as a mage (and so used teleports all the time) and started under the steed birthsign (by whatever coincidence). I really liked some of the towns' designs but the countryside environments didn't feel super-interesting to me.

On the other hand I like the atmosphere of Oblivion, it feels a lot more classic-fantasy. It makes sense what with the former game being a less-human continent and the latter being a human continent (that is right, right?). Anyway, I don't feel like it detracts from the game being able to move faster - I don't always have a huge amount of time to invest at once, and so I really enjoy being able to play a type of game I enjoy without sucking 50% of my time every time I play into just getting places.

I never realized how low poly those gun models actually are. Am I the only one bothered by the fact that there are fully automatic M16s in War Pig?

I notice that things most people don't notice (or inspect closely, anyways) tend to have lower poly counts. Places people are more likely to look, like the face, are pretty detailed. And it goes to show that good texture work can go pretty dang far. (See: Mass Effect)[/obvious statements]

And yeah, you probably are. Especially if you've gathered all the intel, activated Infinite Ammo, and tried the 203. Fires about as fast as a P90 with Double Tap... (the 203 attached to the plain M16 fires much faster than any other) Though to be honest, I kinda wonder why the M16 is only in this level. And why the G3 is only fully automatic in singleplayer.

Those models are low poly because they are not 1st person view meshes, pretty much all games make any non 1st meshes with enough polygons for the basic shape to save on resources. In multiplayer, the custom weapon loadouts only have the selected custom skin, all the attachments are not rendered in the non 1st-view models.

The M16A4 is the variation used in CoD4, it is fully fire select with semi, 3 round and full auto settings, it was made as 3 round burst for MP to differentiate it from the M4A1 in use as they are basically the same weapon. The H&K G3 is Semi Auto in MP, but Full auto in SP. In real life it is a fully automatic assault rifle, and has the same Upper, Receiver and Bolt system as the H&K MP5 (which is essentially a G3 scaled down for the 9mm round for use as a SMG).

OT:More Left 4 Dead, some CoD4: Before the Dawn Mod, and some GTA IV

GTA IV, one of the few current gen games that can strangle a Quad Core and G92 GFX in performance terms.

I find it interesting that nobody has uploaded any pictures of MW2 yet. Maybe I'll take some pictures sometime. It really looks great.

Looks like you had some nice matches, Ipod.

My friend might let me borrow his copy of MW2 so I can see if it will work on my laptop. :P

Hahah, Ipod and his awesome gaming skills.
Nice screens - I'd take/upload some, but photobucket doesn't let me upload anything anymore...
