Help Needed

Hey

After I finished munging my map, I went to play it to see if it would work. I got to the normal SWBF2 Loading screen (Before you select the map) and it crashed.

My BFront2 Log message was:
Message Severity: 3
.\Source\LuaScript.cpp(435)
Script file addme not found

Help would be great ;)

Well its obviously about the addme...
Is your addme file in your maps addon folder?
did you recently change anything in the addme Lua?

Yes, my addme.script is in GIR (Maps name) folder like it should be. I havent changed it at all.

When I opened the addme.script in notepad to see if there was any writing, there was none. I checked another mod map i had downloaded and there was some. ?

That definatly sounds suspect...
Was there anything understandable in that other map's addme.script?
or just coded garbel?
If its understandable, could you post it?
I have no access to my regular computer ATM, or I'd look myself.

I assume you've remunged?

It was just codes, nothing understandable.

Yes I did remunge.

I made a new test map, took GIR out of the Addon folder and placed the test map in. It worked. Strange.

If worse comes to worse Ill redo my map, it wasnt very big anyway. I really appreciate your help Caleb.

Clean then re-munge again. Then Try.

You also should probably delete GIR out of your addon folder, then clean an re-munge. Sometimes it won't replace the old addme.

I tried Teancum's idea and it worked. Thank you very much :)

And thank you to all who tried to help me :)

I have finished my map now, and didnt have to restart it.
