Compared to what? To the Trial, you have no time limit. To the modtool, theres a list of it on wikipedia at the autodesk softimage article.(You cant buy the pandemic addon friendly versions anymore as far as i know.)

With the full versions you get a few more import export options, a few more bells and whistles than the modtools version but as for whether it makes a difference to what you can make for SWBFII probably not. The biggest thing as you may well know, is if you wanted to do complex models or animation then you would need a version that supports the Pandemic Exporter.

ok thanks for the answeres. Ok well for now i've downloaded the foundation 5.0 trial version and i've got kind of a dumb question: how can i import shipped assets that i already formed from msh to obj into XSI? what i'm doing is to go on file, import, obj file, select my obj(let all the boxes checked as they are) and press ok, but nocthing happens. (dunno why its not working now...the last time, a cupple of month ago, it did) thanks for help

It may depend on the mesh. I'm pretty sure that any mesh exported by MshEx can't be imported back into a readable .obj file. If you've made models in the past with XSI Modtool 6.0, you will need to export them to a 5.x-friendly format with Crosswalk.daniel wrote:what i'm doing is to go on file, import, obj file, select my obj(let all the boxes checked as they are) and press ok, but nocthing happens.
