ah yes i do recall that now XD but i was searching atar and i actually found someone XD, BUT that is just an extra to the game not an actual saber used normally. anyway point taken though.

The crystal does exist in the X-box game.... It is the person that is an extra... Not the saber...

The reason the darksaber/blacklightsaber is so unique among lightsabers is the same reason lightsabers are unique among vibroswords. They aren't the same thing.

For a saber to be black, it must absorb light. Black light (not ultra violet, I mean BLACK) cannot be emitted. In a lightsaber, the "core" is a plasma arc. It's energy is extremely intense. It should always appear white. The "glow" is a force field that contains and directs the plasma. It can be any emittable color.

I don't know what the core of a darksaber is, but it probably is not plasma.

But this is not real world physics, this is starwars... A Different place... I guess it was a sith weapon, and IT absorbes light because that is the kind of think that the Sith would do...

Young Padawan, the Sith don't absorb light, they only use the shadow of the light the Jedi are producing. :vader2:

i know the crystal exists in the game. but its an extra crystal that you can find, not one that you automatically receive. anyway, your right, were straying offtopic arguing about a pointless thing but one more thing (i read nowhere that it was a sith weapon, wookiepedia said it was stored in the jedi temple on coruscant. could you enlighten me please? new knowledge is always welcome )

Well actualy, you say it is off topic, but it is still about black lightsabers... which it the title of this topic... I would saty it is completley on-topic personaly, but I will respect peoples wishs and stop after answering his question...

First, I beliefed it to be of sith origens for several reasons...

The weapon is, old, probably of the old republic representent your vocation as a jedi,,,

lue - Gaurdiun
Green - COnsular
Yellow - Sentinal.

There is no black crystal vocation...

Secondly, the lightsaber was invented by sith, to replace their swords... The darksaber is a cross between a sword and a lightsaber possibly a prototype?

Thirdly, it is stated that there is plesanty of jedi blood on the that saber...It takes a force sensitive person to wield a saber, and a jedi would not murder his companions without decending to the sith... This indicates that it was wielded by the sith at laest for the magority of its life...


This makes it likely that it was actualy built and used by the sith, before its user was defeated... It unique properties would have been taken to the temple to suty, possibly resulting in the creatoin of the black crystal that is used by Starkiller....

Those are my arguments...

ok last offtopic saying from me (i promise) it says that many jedi have fallen to the blade, but that was after the mandolorians stole it from teh jedi temple, and pre visla is not a force sensitive and was able to hold off kenobi for a time. also, the proto types for lightsabers were as i believe, proto sabers with which oyu had to carry an energy pack on your side to charge and use. but you are right on the account that sith made the first "modern" lightsabers.

I kind of meant it as a prototype Modern saber...

He does not specificcaly say, "I got this blade, since then we have killed many jedi"

As for the fact that many jedi had been beaten by it, pre visla did not defeat obione, so he cant have been that good, also, Mandalorians Can Not Use Light Sabers AS Good As Sith.

Are you seriously implying that The mandelorian Clans defeated Jedi? In the mandelorian wars (The only major conflict that pitted Mandelorians against the Jedi) The Jedi Beat them hands down...They only would have won, through mines, and weight of numbers...

It is simple. A Non-force-sensitive Mandelorian could not beat a jedi in a Lightsaber dual... A Sith could.l..

That is all there is to it...

No, It is the one that came in the the folder. The new saber must have this "blacklightsabre" saber texture which Spiderpig included in the download.
