Night Sky?
How can I make the sky look like it's night time instead of day?

Re: Night Sky?
Darken and desaturate your sky texture to the point where it looks almost black, perhaps? Or take a look at the stock Naboo, Polis Massa, and/or any of the space .sky files.

Re: Night Sky?
Yeah okay, I'll do that, but I also want to get rid of the light that is still showing ingame. If that's possible...
EDIT: I decided to changemy sky to the same as Kashyyyk, but now when I go into ZE the sky is entirely white. Has something not worked properly, or can I continue?

Re: Night Sky?
There's a whole entire word document dedicated to lighting which can be found in the Documentation folder (hint: it has 'lighting' in its name).SW_elite wrote:but I also want to get rid of the light that is still showing ingame. If that's possible...
Well can you? That is to continue to edit in ZeroEditor? If nothing is impeding you then obviously you can, right? White means either the sky texture is missing (not in your world1 folder) or your sky texture has an alpha layer (which isn't a problem). For future references, check your changes in-game first, after munging of course.can I continue?

Re: Night Sky?
Allright, well ingame the sky is completly black and to me that says I'm missing some textures. I read through the kas2.sky file and copied all of the textures I needed but it still isnt working, so I'm just going to copy everything out of the kas2 world1 folder and see if that works.

Re: Night Sky?
Did you make sure you had the Skydom.msh?

Re: Night Sky?
Well the tutorial only said that I had to have textures.... So it's called skydome.msh?

Re: Night Sky?
Anything referenced in your .sky file, MSHs and TGAs alike, must be present in your world1 folder when munging in order for your sky to appear/work properly in-game. So if you look through the kas2.sky file, you'll see that the skydome stock Kashyyyk uses is actually called kas2_sky_dome.msh.

Re: Night Sky?
I did a search for it using the Ctrl+F function but it didnt find it...
EDIT: I had a look through the files manualy and found it easily, I think I mistyped when i used the search function...
EDIT2: Hmmm.... Well thats strange, I have all the files but it still isnt working....
EDIT3: I had to recopy the .sky file because something I can't explain happened to it, the a clean, and it worked...Now I'm gonna look at the docs to see what I can do about the light I don't want.
