I uploaded Coruscant City few hours ago to Gametoast and hope it will appear in the download area soon

You can get the map at Lucasfiles!
http://www.lucasfiles.com/index.php?s=& ... le&id=1266

Coruscant City was originaly a SWBF1 map i converted to SWBF2.

I havn´t found time for some new screenshots so i post a few from the original release but the SWBf2 version looks almost the same

Image Image Image Image
For bigger screenshots visit my website at:
http://freenet-homepage.de/Santarossa/r ... seite.html
(I want to create a SWBF2 site there soon)

From the Readme:

STARWARS
BATTLEFRONT II

CORUSCANT: CITY
Version: 1
Made by "Rends"

The Coruscant: City map can be played at both eras in conquest mode and hero assault.

Historical Background:
Clone Wars era: A battle blazes above Coruscant, General Grievous has just made a daring abduction of the Chancellor. The expendable CIS droids used as a distraction have remained on the surface to take whatever they can and cuase whatever damage to Republic Forces Possible. The Clones Must eliminate the droid threat.

Galactic Civil War era: Rebel Alliance's Recent Victory at Endor Has left the Empire in Disary. The populous in Coruscant is in an Uprising*. However the Imperials have manage to secure the area near the former senate building, where the Imperial Leaders of Coruscant are plotting to subdue the The Rebel Alliance must take this area from imperial Control, and finally completely overthow Imperial Control of Coruscant.
*As seen at the end of the 1997 and later edition of Return of the Jedi.

Installation: Copy the folder "CO1" (wich contains the Readme, the addme file and the data folder) to your "Star Wars Battlefront II/GameData/AddOn" directory.

Bugs:

Well these are pretty major,

When I try to start any game there is a
fatl error, conquest and assult.

Also the name appears as CO1-%_% or something like that,
and for games CO1_eli or CO1_con

Rends, you're a beautiful man! One less reason to keep BF1 installed. No bugs but curious if you're going to add any more gameplay modes- it's a fair-sized map so I reckon XL would be pretty good, and there could be some good CTF too (1 or 2-flag)

One thing though... the CIS and Republic seem to keep crashing their transport ships. Otherwise awesome! Reminds me of the good 'ol SWBF I times... XD

The map is as great as it was in SWBF1. But perhaps you can give the speeders a higher fire rate, Rends?

umm im currently playing hero assault but theres a problem i cant seem to find any ships so my guess is there not avaliable for hero assault?

EDIT:yes i was right nvr mind,oh by the way theres no music!:( only when i spawn as a hero in conquest then theres music

EDIT2:agan,I notice a prob the ships take a long time to respawn after theyve all been destroyed

EDIT3:do u think for a later realese u could use the shocktrooper skin, after all they are the gurdians of Coruscant!;)

Why are all battlefront 2 maps such large files? This map for battlefront 1 was only 8mb or something wasnt it?
anyway, great map, I'm glad I can play it again!

Nice job Rends!
Everything looks perfect in conquest.
Hero Assault:
- Heroes seem to run into the walls quite a bit.
- Maybe swap around one of the CP/spawn points. I found myself right in the doorway to that center arena area with the bottomless pit on 99% of my battle encounters with AI.
- Mos Eisley music gets annoying :)
