Hey folks,
as you could see on gametoast, there have been some quite interseting mapping contests with definite topics and so on.Noone ever did a contest for BF1 , isn't that a pity?
Why don't making a contest for BF1? We just need some rules and some judges(cuz I can't judge , I'm bad at such administrative jobs)

I did one of these once on my site, MPCGamers. I never got one single submission or anyone who even expressed the slightest interest in it.

If you'd like me to run one again, then I can do that. I'm just saying, expect to be underwhelmed.

But it should be like tese big ones on filefront, someone chooses a topic and sets the time limit.

Mybe we could combine it with some kind of award or prize or soemthing that more people would join?!

I did. I advertised it on Filefront, I offered physical prizes for the winners, I set a defined topic for the maps, I gave everybody 2 months to find out about it and enter. You can see here: http://www.mpcgamers.com/smf/index.php?topic=1336.0

Unfortunatly, BF1 is so lacking in mappers there may only be 5 participants at the very very best. I have experience in starting projects that just fizzled out before. However, if this does somehow get up and rolling, count me in!

Who's gonna accopmplish all the stuuf we need?Time, a topic, and so on?Why don't we decide what topic we wanna choose?
SO lets have a smaller assortment of topics:
Winter
Fall
Desert(any kind of desert, it just has to be at one of the times mentioned above)
Maybe.... Bespin.. but then we should just liit it to let's say plattforms, so just do a plattform map , no city maps...
any suggestions?

I tried a BF2 one and it flunked. Now's a bad time with school and all.

Also, commas go next to the word they come after, not in front of the word they go before.

I'm working on a mod right now, I might make a map for it. It'll be my first one, so nothing beautiful, but it'll be something. I was kind of thinking it would be a Bespin Platforms thing anyways. But if I do make a map, I'll submit it here.

I'll see if I can get one set up for December. How does that sound to everyone?

Once i have think about contest too.If there will be a bf1 contest i really wanna join but for the moment i cant because i am making something that no one have been see for BF1...something very cool! :maulsaber:

Sounds great. It'll give me time to learn how to actually use the editor... which I suppose is kind of important.

So we're thinking a platforms-based map correct? Is it just platforms on any planet/location or does it have to be Bespin? Regardless, I have a really great idea for my map...
